Didn't quite fit the Pioneer receiver, I had to file the opening a bit. The mounting brackets didn't match up with side of radio either, had to do some improvising on that. But all in all it was ok for the price and ended up working well.

Double DIN dimensions are 180 mm X 100.3 mm. The opening should be at least this size or slightly larger. The one I received has an opening that is 173.6 mm X 99.4 mm. I will need to modify it to fit my double DIN stereo. It seems sturdy enough but the flange used to attach it to the dash could be beefier. If you are planning on mounting yours on top of the dash as I am, it is a good idea to install a couple of small fans and maybe paint it a lighter color. Perhaps the next version of this will have some pre-cut holes for fans. If there is room, I plan to mount 3 each 40 mm fans directly over the head unit to pull hot air out of the box. Alternately, I will mont them further back or possibly on the sides. I am thinking the box will amplify fan noise somewhat but the 40 mm are small enough that they should be pretty quiet. ... show more
