I cannot give this product a good rating, as I was not able to mount my car stereo in my car at all with the product as it was shipped to me. As mentioned in other reviews, an installation required the use of the "original mounting brackets" that came in my 2009 Corolla. However, I bought this car used, and the previous owner had mounted a different unit, which was for a 1 DIN system. So, the brackets that were in the car did not work with the new Metra mounting kit. Nowhere in the product's technical description at Amazon is the need mentioned for anything else from the original setup. I also agree with other reviewers that the instructions are sub-par. In the disassembly instructions, they mention to retain the screw from the brackets for the factory radio, but don't mention to retain the brackets themselves. On Amazon, this product is titled " Metra 95-8223S Double DIN Installation Kit for 2009-up Toyota Corolla Vehicles (Black)." This is false advertising (I assume this is Metra's title, no fault to Amazon). On the package I received that contains the item, the product is titled, "Toyota Corolla DDIN Kit." This is not such false advertising, as it never (in the title) promises that you will be able to mount your stereo system with it, merely that the kit, "Fits 2009-2013." However, in the next line on the front of the package there are five icons with descriptions, including, " Radio Install Kit," "Step by Step Instructions," "All Brackets Included," and two others. All of the first three are promises by Metra. Certainly for some the first turned out to be true, for many the second turned out to be incomplete, but for all the third turned out to be patently untrue.

Instructions could be way better. They are incomplete and don’t make too much sense. I was glad I had my husband do this for me because I could not have done this on my own. It does take a bit of patience because the brackets that come with didn’t exactly match up so we had to improvise a bit. But this does fit perfectly once you get it to snap around the radio and looks really professional. I’m really excited about the radio. Posted before and after pictures.

It works, used it with a B07SLJX2V8 radio found here on Amazon. Instructions are easy but unnecessary if you've ever done this before. Make sure you keep your old radio if you're installing because it requires a few mounting screws. I threw mine away before doing it but luckily I already had a few screws on hand. The radio sits a little funky in the dash but if you're just looking for something to secure your radio, you can't go wrong with this.

The 6.5" speakers did NOT fit my 2009 Toyota Corolla like it said they would. I had to go purchase different speakers to install in my car instead of being able to use the ones purchased in this pack. The touch screen is beautiful and fits perfect (with another fit kit). The touchscreen and it's quality is the reason I gave the pack 3stars instead of 2.

This dash kit was the only one I could get to fit my 2009 Toyota Corolla. I had tried multiple dash kits but none would do the job. This snapped right into place, snug fit on the sides, with above AC vents, and HVAC controls. No modifications needed on the exterior border of this unit. The one complaint I have is that I needed to use a dremmel to shave the interior border just a bit on the upper right hand corner. however this could have been due to an abnormal size headunit (Joying). Also the side tabs that mount on the headunit are a bit flimsy but once installed pull together quite nicely once the headunit is screwed down and put into place. For all those complaining about the color mismatch, this simply is not true. Looking at this thing you would think it is the original interior. Maybe I just got lucky. Overall I am very happy with this dash kit as it has a very professional look and feel.

I first purchased this Metra double din kit for our 2010 Toyota Corolla and it had two inserts to fill the gaps on the right and left sides our Avic Z3 stereo that I thought looked pretty cheezy with those inserts. It would have looked a lot better if the bezel just fit nicely around the stereo without having to put those dumb looking side gap fillers in. Anyhow I then purchased the Scosche bezel kit which when I compared it side by side with the Metra, the Scosche hands down was by far the better looking choice and the fit and molding is perfect but, like the others have said, the color on the Scosche doesn't exactly match. It's not really much of an issue because the dash itself does have varying colors of black and grey so it is visually "reasonable" as far as the color but the guys at Scosche could have spent just a moment longer to match up the exact color of the surrounding plastics. I'd give this kit a D grade and the Scosche a B. The Scosche is not perfect, but it is a long shot better than this ugly Metra kit.

Color matches pretty good on my 2009 Corolla. However it’s a little loose as two of the four clips were broken. Amazon shipped this is a floppy envelope when it should’ve been shipped in a sturdy box.
