Does what it's supposed to. Im using this in my 2014 Jeep Patriot, to house my touchscreen head unit. It fits my dash perfectly, but on the left and right sides, if looking at an angle, and there's enough light in the vehicle, you can see between the adapter and the head unit. This is due to the face of the unit being quite thin and the face being curved. I've never had anyone point it out to me, but I do tend to notice it. I think this is probably common for this vehicle, because I have seen other brands for this vehicle and they have the same issue. If the opening for the face of the radio had just a little lip around the inside... maybe 1/8", it would be perfect. ... show more

Went to install this in a 2000 Saturn SL. Found that the ring, which is why I bought it, was too small to fit around the new radio. Just to see, we checked to see if it fit through the factory trim hole for the factory radio. It was too large. Put it up to the factory radio front and it was wider than that as well. On the side mount plates, it did have the odd offset holes for Saturn where only screw hole is higher than the other. ... show more
