I have an 89 f-150 that some piece of trash cut the wiring harness to the stereo. I bought this and some electric tape and we fixed her right up. They have a wire chart right on the package for ease of use. You'll have to download the wire diagram for your vehicle, but it makes resorting you wiring harness super easy. ... show more

1996 f150 and the pins don't flop around like it did 10 (?) years ago. I was foolish enough to cut off the factory harness and needed to return the original harness. Confirming the wire colors took some searching. This year radio wire colors is known for being inconsistent. 3 examples and had to cross match for confirmation. Just what I needed. I am installing a new radio in a friend's 1994 mustang and the idiotic Jack of no trades that put in the previous radio couldnt be bothered to spend $5 for the harness adapter so they butchered the factory wiring and left me to cleanup the mess and do it right. I used these connectors to rehab the factory harness. I soldered and shrink wrapped the connections to make a perminate and reliable repair. Now the factory harness is almost good as new. The car did have a factory amp which was also butchered but factory amps are trash anyway, the amp in the new pioneer headunit is more powerful. ... show more

As an installer- if you need install harnesses or dash kits, you got two options. Metra, or Scosche. I'm not a big fan of how flimsy and cheaply made Scosche product plastics are and try to avoid them whenever possible. This was used to install a non amplified Ford deck in a Premuim sound JBL car, and it did the job nicely, no cutting of factory wires required, which was a requirement for the customer... ... show more
