  • Don't upgrade your receive without one of these!!
upgraded my factory radio in my Hyundai Elantra 2001 and it worked perfectly. Do all the wiring INSIDE.....western union splice, solder, and heat shrink all connections before even going go car. ESP if you need to do this in winter or 90-100 degree heat :) All color codes matched up.

  • cheap in price but works great
used on a 2003 hyundai elantra. wired right up just fine. Only thing I wish was that the wires were a little thicker. But hey it was cheap and it still worked.

  • Fits perfectly, standard color coding
Product worked great. I have literally used thousands of Metra wiring harness adapters because I installed car stereos for over 30 years, and in all that time, I have never had a problem with one. For a first time installer in 2k+ vehicles there are a lot of hurdles to overcome with the knowledge base. Most of which is in steering wheel controls, factory amplifier adapters, and through wiring of heating /AC systems or Navigation systems. The documentation is based on the speakers, and the power...what about the other 25 wires? I wish Metra would publish the factory wiring codes on a chart with the part. The most difficult to find is Key 1, Key 2 and KeyGrnd. As a side note, you can always use the Axxess line of products with Metra Kits, and there are factory interfaces for some of the other connections. That being said, there is a toll free number on all Metra products, and their tech support is second to none. Why only 4 stars? The documentation; customer service however, 5 Star. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE WIRING HARNESS ... show more

  • Don't even try without this!
Got this to replace a dead factory radio. Was 30 degrees outside. Was much more pleasant to solder this while watching YouTube inside than trying to mod the factory harness outside. Color coding matched the stereos harness. This had wires for power antenna and factory amp. Since my car is base, I just taped those out of the way, just in case. Soldered and shrink tubed all connections. When it warmed up, plugged it into the factory harness and everything worked perfectly! ... show more

  • Doesn’t fit
Did not fit 2007 Kia spectra. Should not be advertised as if it does.

  • Satisfied Customer
Thought I wouldn’t be able to find the right part, I am happy to say I not only found it but purchased it. Works exactly as advertised. I would buy from the seller again no problem. No issues, no hassles, NO problems. 5 stars.

  • Good fit, but bad guide (not Metra's fault)
While this is a match for the stock radio wiring in my 2005 Tucson, there were some specific issues with getting the stock amplifier to activate. At first guess, you'd say to connect the ISO Remote Amp wire to the matching head-unit circuit, and you would be wrong. While the Tucson does have a factory 6-channel amp, the activation circuit is an atypical relay, therefore the ISO-style pairing of wires will not work for my model. Interestingly enough, while the '05 Tucson doesn't have a power antenna, it does have a wire for one. This is the non-typical wiring I mentioned, the part that (ironically) activates the amplifier. Also, this trick won't even work properly unless the Remote Amp wire is jumped directly to the main/switched power. (NOT memory/battery, always-on power) In case this helps someone out, with '05 (possibly '04) models, here's what I did with the 'leftover' wires: blue (power antenna) - should connect with Amp Remote circuit on the stereo harness blue/grey (amp remote) - should be jumped/shorted to ACC (switched) Power (+) bypassing the stereo harness illumination (orange/white) - should be clamped off or removed (unless your stereo supports dimming lights) If you make a mistake (like shorting illumination to ACC or BATT power) keep in mind that your dashboard lights will blow a fuse. Again, ironically, the fuse you need to check is marked for "TAIL-L"... that's right, the brake-lights. Find that 10-amp module and you'll see it popped, replace it and you're back in business. In a nutshell, it's not really Metra's fault. This particular adapter fits a number of Hyundai model-years and model-lines, so it works in general, but there's no instruction on how to adapt it for specific models. For the most part, that's because Hyundai took the same stock circuits from the previous year and rigged them at the factory to work in non-standard ways; ways that still work for stock equipment, but cause problems with ISO-standard aftermarket gear. With a bit of clever adaptation, and a few judicious web searches, you can get it working brilliantly. My new Boss Audio system rocks hard, and the stock (sub) "woofer" performance blows the doors off the old factory unit. (sheer input wattage, I believe) With one part replaced, I've added Bluetooth connectivity, support for AUX input, along with music from USB storage and SD cards. These features were well ahead of their time back when this model was built. It was just a matter of getting those wires "just right." Be careful and good luck! ... show more
