I bought this for a 1993 Olds Delta 88 Royale trunk mounted antenna- when the power antenna died I replaced it with a standard antenna only to find 2 male antenna leads to try to put together - this adapter works perfectly and radio reception is loud and clear again! I used this to replace the power antenna on my '03 corvette convertible. I purchased an amplified antenna which I could tuck away in the trunk area. The harness from the car had a male antenna plug, and the amplified antenna also had a male antenna plug. This coupled them together easily.
