This is a great starter metal detector. I'm an adult and it is perfectly sized for me - plus it's adjustable and light enough for my kids to use. The bright LED display makes location so easy. This is my first metal detector so I appreciate the instructions that came with it! I love the different detection modes. For instance, I can go out on the beach looking for jewelry or I can use this in the backyard to find the nails that the roofers lost during installation. It works well - I tested it indoors and outside and it quickly picked up metal in both places. It is light and easy to carry - I expected it would be heavy like a leaf blower but it's very light! The display is bright and easy to read in both day and night. Assembly was easy. It is basically putting 4 parts together and took me about 15 minutes and that included reading the instructions. It comes with batteries for the display. This is a great value! Highly recommend.

I thought this would be a fun toy for me and my dad to use. He put it together and it was difficult, especially as he suffers from tremors. But once it was together, I found it easy to use. It was lighter than I thought it would be and comfortable once it was strapped onto my arm. The disc was easy to adjust by pressing it to the ground gently. I threw a metal hook in our backyard and it picked it up once it was right on top of it. So it does function as expected. I didn't really understand the different modes and how they differ, but I'm sure I'll figure out. The beeping and squealing had my dogs turning their heads. It seems like a great starter detector for someone who is looking to have a little fun. I look forward to taking it to the beach.

This metal detector has been a great addition to our collection for when we go rock hounding. It can detect a wide range of different metals, which means you are constantly finding stuff. You are able to fine tune which types of metal you are searching for via the display. It it constructed out of high quality materials and the strap means extended use is comfortable. It’s super easy to use, just make sure you do not turn it on inside the house. Functionally this has been great fun for the whole family.

I can’t really compare this to other metal detectors since this is my first one, but based on my initial experience it seems to work exactly as advertised. I tested it out in my yard and it had no problem picking up buried metal, and the signals were consistent and easy to understand. Setup was straightforward and it feels intuitive enough for a beginner without being overly complicated. The adjustable length is nice, and it feels comfortable to use without getting tiring. Overall, it gave me confidence pretty quickly that it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. I’m especially excited to take this to the beach and see what I can find. For someone new to metal detecting who wants something that works without a big learning curve, this seems like a solid choice so far.
