Understand this is neither a positive or a negative review but rather a simple report of my experience. I bought this specifically to find my iron survey pins but it didn't work for me. It beeped constantly even in an open field and I couldn't distinguish a dirt clod from the nuts, blots, and coins used to experiment with in an open field. In all fairness I may not have gotten it set up correctly but I've used other detectors and it seemed like a no-brainer. I purchased new batteries for it. Maybe they were weak or something. I'm not sure if it was defective, or if bad batteries or operator error is to blame. I hate to rate it by stars because I don't want to affect the sellers rating unfairly but I can't leave this review with doing so. ... show more

    • Easy to use metal detector, came with very clear instruction; had it up and running in no time.
I like that this can go to far depths and can be set to scan for certain types of metals; which is very interesting; have not fully tested this, but so far, I'm completely and fully satisifed, would recommend to anyone if considering a purchase.

Threw down jewelry and other items ranging in gold, silver, steel, and iron. Didn’t detect anything but the iron on tests. When practical use it will tell you silver is literally everywhere and then the precision mode is impossible to use if your not on a concrete level surface. If you have any room, to include an incline, the precision mode will just alert that something is under it. ... show more

    • Not worth $74, it did not work
I read good reviews and took a chance. It was going for $144 and had a $70 coupon. I looked today [09/21/2022] and the price is $84 with a $30 coupon...there is probably a reason for that. I must have received a bad one. It was super easy to put together, but the electronics was bad. First, there is no ground calibration. I was receiving alot of interference (chatter, abstract sounds) when I was testing it, by having the coil in the air...outside...with nothing around it. It was going off like crazy. I moved to different areas with same results. Second, becuase of the chatter, I went to factory reset by holding the power button (as the instructions state) it did not function. There were no beeps, changes to the screen or screen confirmation. I had to lower the sensitivity to 1 before the beeping stopped. But now it does not detect anything...including my BBQ grill which is all metal. I was waving it over and infront of my grill and not a single beep. I gave two stars becuase the shovel works and I can use it for something else. Not sure if the headphones work...never plugged them in becuase I could not get the coil to settle down. I gave three stars for durability. The frame seems like it's built pretty well. I don't think I did anything incorrectly. I followed all the instructions and even looked up troubleshooting on the internet....but still does not work as should. That's too bad....I was super excited to get one...looks like I will have to just buy an expensive one. ... show more

I take walks on the beach all the time. Decided to try to hunt for treasure. This metal detector is easy to use. It came with a little foldable shovel, case and headset. Headset is nice so you are the only one that hears the beeps. The screen is easy to read. Haven’t found anything major yet but still have hopes 😊 ... show more

I bought this for the beaches in Florida. My husband doesnt like to just lay at the beach so i thought this would be fun for him. It took him anlittle while to get use to it bur He loves it found a couple cheap bracelets. Good bang for your buck!
