I bought this lamp to clip onto my bed's headboard. Works great! The twist on/off switch is easy to find on the back of the lamp cover, unlike those that are somewhere down the power cord. The clip is made out of metal rather than plastic and is more that strong enough to stay in place wherever I clip it. The clip also has pads that will help to prevent marring of whatever surface you might want to clip it to. Hi. Overall-very good for price! Nice looking too. However, there is a design flaw: if trying to use USB port outlet on lamp base-you will be disappointed since the plug does not go all the way in because the wooden base is in the way!!! Just don’t use it or-have your carpenter husband(don’t mean to sound chauvinist) cut out small chunk of wooden base. PS I did detective work and looked back at pictures on Amazon and THERE IS SUCH A CUT IN PHOTOS. ... show more
