  • Functions well, but has some issues
Generally, I really like Hitachi, now Metabo, pneumatic guns. I have used Hitachi framing nailers for over 20 years. While this gun functions well and has good ergonomics, there are a couple of major issues with it. First, the rail is made of plastic. This is just not a material that is going to hold up long-term on a construction site. Second, the depth adjustment requires a wrench to loosen and tighten. This is cumbersome when trying to adjust it while working. While those are my major issues, I also got a smoke-type of smell from my brand-new gun the first time I used it. I haven't had the smell occur again, and hope it won't develop into an issue, but it didn't leave me feeling very comfortable with the reliability and build quality of the gun. ... show more

  • bump action takes getting use to
My old Senco stapler which I've owned for 35 years was "pull the trigger once, get one staple" This unit is for rapid use, "pull and hold the trigger in, and bounce it along the wall, one staple everytime you hit the wall" Good for speed construction, not so good for fine shooting like building furniture or something. They have an attachment to make the gun a normal "one pull one shot" gun, but its too spendy to be realistic. ... show more

  • It does the job
I always use a drop of pneumatic tool oil in the tube and at the tip of the stapler. So far I have build a large shed and sheathing floors and exterior was done with this stapler. All in all probably around 10K staples. Looks like never used. The only thing, that I have noticed, that I don't really like is how sensitive the trigger is. Sometimes, especially when I am tired, I fire 2 staples in quick succession. So far no malfunctions or jams. Works as intended. Very glad with this Metabo/Hitachi unit! ... show more

  • So Awesome
Okay, I only fired a few hundred so far. But I am in the process of removing particleboard underlayment using the same Staples, so I figured I'd use the same thing to put down the new OSB. I have a small pancake compressor, but I'm driving B&E 2" Staples at about 60 per minute. I'll update later as I have about 9000 more to fire on this floor. ... show more

  • Built for the job.
This thing is built very well. It has a good solid feel to it and it delivers solid results. I used it for .25" or .315" siding with .565 crown x 1.25" staples it has no problem. But the are those that hit in a hard spot and don't completely go in, but very few. This is a very good staple gun.

  • Save your arms lol
We have done a lot of fencing over the past 3 decades. Borrowed one of these from a neighbor to build an aviary. It was so easy that after 1 days use, we bought one for ourselves.

  • Sweet tool!
Used it to put up a fence for the dogs, so nice and fast. Then used it to put up wood rails on the same fence. This has become my go to tool for many nailing jobs that used to mean a hammer.

  • Staple Gun
Awesome siding and plywood staple gun. Makes things quick when you want to install some exterior plywood on a house. Should of had this a longtime ago
