  • Beast of a tool
Let me start by saying this staple gun is like the Arnold Schwarzenegger of DIY tools—solid, a bit hefty, but boy, does it get the job done! When I first unboxed this beast, I had to do a few bicep curls just to prepare myself for the weight. Seriously, if I wanted a workout, I'd hit the gym, not frame my artwork. But once I got past the initial shock (and a few strained muscles), I was ready to conquer my trim and DIY framing projects like a pro. Now, about the bulkiness—it's like holding a mini bazooka, minus the explosions (unless you count my neighbors wondering what I'm building this time). Maneuvering it felt more like directing traffic than precision crafting. But hey, sometimes you need a tool with a presence, right? But let's talk performance. This staple gun doesn't mess around. It's like the Hulk smashing staples into place—loud, proud, and impressively effective. The staples went in smoother than butter on a hot biscuit. No jams, no drama—just sturdy, secure attachments. Battery life? Solid. It lasted longer than my attention span during a DIY project marathon, which is saying something. Plus, reloading was a breeze. Even my cat could do it (if she had opposable thumbs). Despite its heft and bulk, this staple gun is now my go-to for trim and DIY framing. It's like having a dependable sidekick—maybe a bit overenthusiastic, but you know it'll have your back. So, if you don't mind a tool that's a tad beefier than your average staple gun, go ahead and add this bad boy to your cart. Just be prepared to work those muscles while you work your magic. Happy stapling, my DIY comrades! ... show more

  • Excellent tool! Better than expected!
This worked great on a big project stapling hardware cloth to a new chicken run. Used 1 1/4" stainless steel staples. It has a fast enough response and consistent driving depth. Yes, a bit bulky and heavy but worth it to not have the compressor and hose to mess with. Long battery life and fairly quiet too. ... show more

  • Great tool. I highly recommend it!
This is an easy tool to love. The joints it makes are strong. I’ve built theatre sets and a sauna in the short time that I’ve had it. On a few occasions the grain of the wood has diverted one of the pins out the side of the wood, even when attempting to direct the pin away from the side. Pulling these out without damaging the wood is a chore. But, on the whole, I would buy this again in a heartbeat. ... show more

  • Works great
So nice not to have to drag an airline all around. Doesn’t eat batteries so that’s nice as well. It is somewhat heavy but less so than dragging a hose around.

  • Greatest invention ever!
This stapler works very smooth and is easy to use. Nice to not have cords everywhere and a reliable piece of equipment!

  • Pretty good
I like it. Better holding power than a Brad nail. Takes some practice to figure out where to place it so the staple does not blow out the side. A little big and bulky for tight spaces.

  • Perfect stapler
I bought this for a remodel. This allowed me to very quickly redo trim boards without cords or hoses. It's also a great gun for cabinetry or other sheet projects like wall board. Strong stapler can smack these narrow staples right through solid or plywood with few failures.

  • Good stapler, but check out Milwaukees one too
Comically large, but drives staples quickly. I tried stapling through some steel siding attached to a 2x4 and the staple crumbled. Could have hit a screw behind it though, I'm not sure. I bought it to install subfloor and didn't want to damage it just for a test haha. The part number for the retainer clip that apparently somtimes breaks is 180201. Bostitch sells it here on Amazon, it's 10 bucks. I just bought one in case mine breaks. I will say though, I like how small Milwaukees stapler is. And right now it's actually cheaper too. EDIT: apparently some people are having an issue with the Milwaukees loosing pressure in the nitrogen piston tank thing. But no windup time with MW, just instantly shoots. The flywheel design in dewalt seems slightly more mechanically sound to me. Also the Milwaukees are noticeable heavier even though they are more skinny. Or so I've read. I'm happy with the dewalt. ... show more
