This is the official Quest Charger. Charges the headset and the controllers without issues. As mentioned in some reviews the controllers did disconnect and reconnect randomly. Think I resolved that. The batteries seem to not be connected properly. I have removed them and reset them. It seems they need to sit just right. Like the display aspect of the controller stand and the magnetic charging system. They let out a little beep when they connect. Do recommend. ... show more

    • Works well, a bit finicky
This is an affordable and good (but not amazing) solution to constantly having to replace AA batteries in Meta Quest controllers. The fitment of the controllers on the charger is a little finicky and not exactly intuitive, but at least there’s a light and soft tone to signify when they’re in the correct charging position. They simply sit in a groove, without anything holding them in place. It would be nice if there was some sort of index mark or strong magnet to snap them into position like some other docks I have, but that’s not a dealbreaker. The batteries are a proprietary shape, so good luck finding replacements in a few years, but they seem to work well thus far so I’ll worry about that later. Continuing with the “good enough but not great” theme, the charge port for the headset is not the fast charge variety, so it will charge a bit slower than it’s capable of. This unit also does not come with a wall plug, and assumes you’ll be using the one that came with your headset. On the positive side: it’s not very expensive, seems to be made of good quality materials, and is fairly small and easy to pack if you’re taking it on a trip. I don’t have a case for my MQ3, but I’ve seen several reviews where people fit this charger into their headset travel cases. Overall, I’ve been happy with after owning it a couple of months, so I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a basic charger for the MQ3 as a casual user. ... show more

There is a fatal flaw in the engineering of these batteries, they are not standard AA sized terminals (they're shorter than standard AA) and will constantly disconnect (thus disconnecting the controller) because the terminals will not stay touching constantly. My right controller wouldn't even turn on, I messed with it a bit then my left would randomly keep cutting out (especially while trying to play on vr drums). VERY poorly made product and here I thought I'd be making the smart purchase buying the name brand for a few extra dollars more vs a 3rd party one. ... show more

These chargers work great and make life so much easier. They have a good build quality and work perfectly! I hate using batteries because I get mine from harbor freight and they last about 3 clicks.I honestly think they should come with rechargeable batteries and a dock with the headset. But definitely worth the buy if you are getting a quest ... show more

    • A useful Meta Product for quest users.
One of the few Meta products I can say is worth the price tag. You get the dock, cables and rechargeable batteries for the quest controllers. The dock works well for what it is, Id say the only reason i picked it up was for the rechargeable functionality of my quest controllers. One thing I can see being an issue for people is that the dock is form fitting for the controllers. So if you use covers on the controllers the dock may not fit or charge the controllers properly. I have straps that use the battery door as a replacement to accommodate the controllers and it works with the charging dock. I have charges my headset off of the dock and it works well enough. Convenient. You just set your controllers on the dock. Keep the dock plugged in. Light turns green when thery are fully charged. If you accidentally mix the right and left, it will blink to let you know. I charge them every night as they store in the base.
