Top Amazon Reviews

  • A Grand Diver Indeed!
I am a watch nut. However, though I have written many product reviews on Amazon, and many of those reviews were about watches that I have collected, I have not written any reviews about Invicta watches because I have been reluctant to buy them until recently. That was because the one experience I previously had with Invicta was a watch that I purchased in 2001 that had a failed movement that needed to be replaced within a year of purchase. I coupled that experience with all of the bad reviews written by 'watch snobs' on watch websites and concluded that Invicta was probably a brand that I could live without. That was until I saw this gem on Amazon. It was so striking in appearance that I was immediately drawn to it. In fact, I couldn't take my eyes off it, and soon pulled the trigger. Like so many other manufacturers, Invicta patterned a group of diver watches after the Rolex Submariner and this is one of those 'clones.' However, I soon found out that this was not just another Rolex wannabe, but an offering that truly stood on its own legs. This watch is bold, big and hefty, so if you have small wrists or not accustomed to lugging a small hunk of solid metal on your arm, this might not be the watch for you. Though this watch may bear some resemblance to the aforementioned Rolex Submariner, closer inspection reveals some real differences. The dial face is substantially large, but not overly so as are some of the almost cartoonish and garish, large Invictas that I often see in watch shop windows. The band is thick and the case is super sturdy. Invicta customarily emblazons its name on the side of the watch case, but they go one step further on this model and place the words 'Grand Diver' on the crown side of the watch, which is a nice touch. The Invicta Grand Diver logo is displaced on the face, the crown and on opposing ends of the case; giving the grand diver a distinctive character. Some others may feel the 4 logos are a bit over the top, but I don't find them to be a distraction or annoyance. Your tastes may dictate otherwise. This watch uses the Seiko NH35A movement, which is a 24-jewel automatic movement that is known to be very reliable and solid. Seiko (along with Bulova, Orient and Citizen) is a manufacturer that I have turned to time and again because they are reliable and low-cost, and therefore represent high value at a modest cost point. The sweep of the second hand is smooth, though the stops are easily perceptible as it circumnavigates the dial face. The lume is negligible after only an hour, so if that is a big thing for you, this watch may not serve your needs. The caseback provides the observation window through which you can see the mechanism operating, which has become more or less standard for automatics in recent years. The band and clasp are heavy and sturdy; not unlike the treads of an M1 Abrams tank. The date magnifier is a nice because my eyes aren't what they used to be. The overall styling, look and feel of this watch tells you time and again that this is a man's watch with brass cojones, in case you forget...which isn't likely. I cannot yet say that this is a reliable timepiece as I haven't had sufficient time to observe, but I can say that I have high hopes and expectations. If so, I may consider adding another Invicta to my collection in the future. So far, this seems to be a great offering and a steal at this price point and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone ... show more

  • Nice sturdy watch
Fits good on the wrist and doesn’t slide around like lighter watches

  • Gorgeous Watch Gorgeous Watch
Gorgeous Watch The details are amazing. Good size, 47 MM is perfect on my wrist. The bracelet has plenty of length for the largest wrists and can be sized down easily for smaller wrists, my wrist is 8-1/4" and I needed to remove 2 links and adjust the clasp to get a good fit. Mine has the Seiko NH35A Twenty Four Jewel movement and it's keeping excellent time, not auto corrected electronic time but has only differed 15 seconds in 5 days from GPS/Cellphone time. I like all of the details, the details on the second hand, all of the Diver helmets (I found 5 so far), the exhibition back with the yellow weight. the bracelet with it's brushed and polished highlights. The case back is highly engraved and the case sides are engraved with the makers name and model, The watch comes in a brightly colored box with all Invicta papers (warranty) and owners cards, even a polishing cloth. Mine does not say Japan movement on the face. All of this adds up to a lot of watch for an affordable price. So far this has been a wonderful timepiece accurate and good looking, the watch aficionados have all asked about it and are impressed. ... show more

  • Looks good. Poor quality
I have bought close to a dozen Invicta diver and pro-diver watches from Amazon and I've gotten tons of compliments on them. This watch, in particular, is beautiful. However, Invicta bracelets (the stainless steel band) are low quality and after a time it's not uncommon for them to break. Once, the links on this watch separated and it slipped off my wrist and shattered on the ground. No kidding - this has happened to 3 Invicta Divers that I can recall. I liked this watch so much that I bought a new one. After about 6 months one of the position indicators inside the crystal broke off and was loose inside the case. tl;dr the watches look great, function well, but often break. The bracelet links separate, and the pins that hold it to the watch get loose and rattle. Replacement bracelets are almost as expensive as the watch so what's the point. ... show more

  • Wow!!! It's BIG, but it's darn sexy! Wow!!! It's BIG, but it's darn sexy!
This is my first Invicta. I have had many (watch friends) ask if I've bought any (Invictas) yet. I have never given them serious attention, all along thinking they might be cheapo Rolex knock offs. NOT TRUE! This is a quality timepiece and very sexy!! I have a collection of about 10 or 12 watches in various colors. This style of watch is what most of them look like, as I'm drawn to the Stainless bands and this "l@@k". I would love to own the GMT Rolex Pepsi Bezel "look alike" now that I know how nice and high quality these Invictas are, but I purchased an Orient that is similar and don't want to cheat the Orient out of wrist time! Hahaha. This watch is very heavy and was described as such on Amazon feedback and various YouTube videos that I watched before pulling the trigger. But it's OK , as I like having a few big ones in my stable. Just beware, if you have a small wrist, you may not be as happy as I am. Nonetheless, if this model is indicative of the rest of their lineup, I will be purchasing more of them! One last thing.....it's been noted on some YouTube reviews that the engraving on the sides "Grand Diver" on one side, and INVICTA on the other is a little much for some. I am not crazy about it either, but frankly after wearing for a week or so now, you really don't see it. ... show more

  • ... watch i was at a mall and fell in love with it
When I first saw this watch i was at a mall and fell in love with it, So I ordered it and when i received it I didn't open it right and when i did i never took it out of its rapper and 5 days after i got i finally did and when i put it on for some reason I just wasn't feeling it, I did not feel that as when i was in the mall however it is a really nice watch and if i had an extras $106.00 burning a hole in my pocket i would keep it. So i want ahead and already ordered the Invicta 8928 diver two tone 23 kt Gold , its allot smaller but it looks incredible, Even when i first received it the yellow boxing was for a smaller watch had a much bigger and better box with manual the whole 9 for reason the yellow box the 3046 Pro Diver came in was damaged all scared up and when i opened the package the contents were all mixed as if it had a rough ride. So i will be returning it but already replace and have have also bought two other sport watches and i have my eye on another Invicta. So it is a great watch if it were a chronograph I would keep so there ya go i think for such big thick heavy watch it needs more going on in the face of the watch. ... show more

  • Yet another great watch by invicta!
The watch is big but not massive, has some weight to it which I like, it could be worn as an everyday watch or a business/dress watch, the watch looks like something you'd find in the $1000+ range, very elegant. I've already received quite a few compliments and it has been confused twice with a rolex sub (not that I really care, but it shows how eye-catching the piece is). I've had very good experience with Invicta, been purchasing and wearing them for many years now and they all share the same common denominators, reasonably priced, good quality, very nice watches. I'm very happy with this new member of my invicta collection, would recommend it. ... show more

  • Nice automatic watch at a bargain basement price
Yet another good quality watch from invicta at a bargain price. What can I say this is my 10th and im particularly keen on the Pro/Grand diver range with the Janpanese NH series automatic movement. This is a tried and tested movement which is reliable and keeps very good time for a mechanical watch. The 3046 Grand diver is another nice looking and use anywhere watch which looks worth more than the money paid. I will always recommend and Invicta pro diver series expecially the automatics. Another good buy. ... show more
