These bulbs are a great value. They're not HomeKit compatible, but that can be easily overcome by using HomeBridge (I run it on an old Mac Mini, but a Raspberry Pi will do the trick). My only complaint is that the colors and brightness granularity are not great. I often want to dim the light "just a little bit," but when I try, the bulb either does not respond (as if I haven't pushed it to the threshold of the next dimming level) or it overcorrects. Same goes for color variation. But, for the price, they're great smart bulbs. ... show more

    • Stopped connecting to Apple Home or Meross app

I got this because I wanted a light that has smart features and connects to the Home app so I can turn the light on by asking Siri. This light did work as expected for about a month and a half. I loved it when it was working because it was very bright, esp for a smart bulb and was easy to get set up. Then it stop connecting to the Home app and the Meross app. I’ve tried trouble shooting and reconnecting it, which initially did work. However, I eventually had to do this every time I wanted to use the light, which defeats the purpose of having a smart light if I have to do more to get it to turn on. Now whenever I turn it on it flashes different colors (as if it’s reset to reconnect) but doesn’t connect, then remains a color I don’t want it to be. I don’t recommend this light. By the time it stops functioning it’s too late to return and I’m now left with an expensive, not so smart, lightbulb. ... show more

In my opinion, these are some of the best smart bulbs on the market—if not the best. I use them with my Apple-powered smart home, and they work flawlessly every time. I still remember when I first bought one a few years ago and encountered a minor bug. I reported it, and to my surprise, the team took my feedback seriously and had a fix implemented in the very next software update. That level of responsiveness really impressed me. Since then, I've tried other brands (that I’ll leave unnamed) with different wireless technologies like Bluetooth and Thread, but Meross’ Wi-Fi implementation consistently outperforms them all. It's rock-solid and incredibly reliable, making other technologies feel sluggish in comparison. On top of that, their customer support is exceptional—always prompt, friendly, and helpful.
