It takes a few hours for the assembly but, its worth it. One handy person can assemble the parts. However, when it is time to attach the base to the upright unit, two men are necessary to complete the task.

Great bed. Takes a while to put together but it's not hard. You just need to follow the directions. Hardest part is finding the correct piece of wood when you need it because the pieces are scattered between 3 boxes without regard to assembly step. But it all fit together perfectly. I assembled it mostly but myself in about 6 hours total. I needed my 11 year old for a couple steps and needed my wife + 11 year old + 8 year old for the final step of putting the bed part in the wall casing and attaching the casing to the wall. The screws that come with to attach to the wall suck. The heads strip really easily. I bought 1/4" lag screws to use for this step and drilled the holes in the mounting brackets a little larger. This made my wife feel the best for a sturdy bed. One downside is the mattress can only be 8" thick which limits your mattress choices. We bought a memory foam mattress. Not sure I'd want to sleep on it every night for the rest of my life but as a guest bed in my office it's perfect. And with the bed folded up there is so much room for activities.

Super happy with the quality. Very solid once is completed. Many parts so patience and careful look at instructions is a must. I was able to do it in a day and a half at a calm pace with help from my 80 year old dad. I see complaints in other reviews but they’re related to lack of assembly experience or at least being mechanically inclined. I’m 60 years old retired firefighter and construction worker, what’s your excuse.

Overall it will serve the purpose. I am disappointed with the quality for the price. It was challenging to determine some of the part orientations from the directions making it more complex than necessary to assemble. There are no stickers to cover screws so that's an eyesore. There is no on/off for the lights so that's going to require an additional purchase. I would say I can't be sure of sturdiness just yet. We did end up securing a board across the wall to ensure it was in enough studs.

It took two professional assemblers about 11 hours. There were a couple of hiccups but it came out better than I expected. Even with the cost to assemble (about 50% of the purchase price) it was well worth it and a great value. It looks like the pictures and anchored properly it is solid.

The bed showed up in three different parcels in two shipments. The company didn't provide up front shipping info. The first two boxes showed up in decent shape. Had to reach out to the company for tracking info for the 3rd box. 3rd box was in bad shape but contents was mostly undamaged. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. The tools (two small Allen wrenches) not adequate to assemble the bed. You will need to use your own tools. At a min, need a 4mm Allen wrench with good handle, #2 Phillips head and a standard straight slot screw driver. The instructions say 4 people to assemble. Was able to assemble with two men, but took about 8 hours to complete.. The app for the assembly instructions was of no help and downloading it, actually installed a app in the background that took over my home screen. Took about an hour to remove it from my phone. VERY FRUSTRATING. . Over all very pleased with the fully assembled bad. The mattress portion needs reinforcing. While it held two people weighting about 500 lbs, it bowed to the point it seemed like it would break. Adding plywood (15/32") made all the difference. The finish is not of the best quality, but acceptable. Will have to repaint as was impossible to assemble without scratching several of the parts. Overall for the price, would recommend.
