This bed is fairly sturdy, is a good size, as we received full over full. The directions were not as detailed as they should be. Between the directions that were included, a video we found on the Amazon page where we ordered the bed, and a ton of common sense, we finished it. It took two people to do about a third of the assembly. One person can do the other two thirds. All of the parts were provided. They provide exactly the hardware you need. There was not one extra bolt, screw, etc. When installing the parts labeled “I” do not tighten them too much, just enough. The parts labeled “J” were used with the “I” parts and were not well made. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to get a few extra “J”parts as they broke during assembly. They only cost $5 for four extra. Also, do not let anyone over 150 pounds climb the stairs to the top bunk. I don’t believe the stairs were built for that much weight. Overall we are happy with the purchase. Very time consuming to put together, but overall quality is pretty good. The bed is heavy so install it exactly where you want it, would be tough to move it when completed. ... show more

My husband and I adopted my four nephews after my sister passed away last month. So, we decided to purchase this bunk bed to help save space in their room. We usually assemble our furniture ourselves because we enjoy spending time together doing it, but this time it was a huge headache. The screws are not separated as they should be; many types come mixed in the same package, and if you don't have some experience, it's easy to get lost in the instructions. The bed parts weren't numbered as they should be, and some parts that the instructions indicated should have holes did not come pre-drilled. Additionally, some screws were missing. To make matters worse, after assembling 70% of it, we discovered that some parts were broken. I missed this during the material check because they seemed fine, but when we went to screw them together, they were cracked. Now I'm extremely frustrated to have to take everything apart to send this nightmare back. I definitely don't want or recommend this model or brand anymore. ... show more

Great bed for someone who has kids that share room. The bed is really save spaces in the room where you have the ability to add more stuff for the kids. It’s very sturdy and it took me 10 hours assemble alone. It costs way too much after adding shipping fee. Shipping alone was nearly $200.

The media could not be loaded. Where do I begin. The packaging is great, but that is not what I paid $1,000 for. I organized all the pieces that came in a total of 4 boxes. You are given instructions based on if you want the ladder on the right or left side. I followed the directions and towards the middle they started contradicting themselves. I had to remove and reassemble the headboard and footboard (top and bottom frames) to line up to the holes. The back piece of ladder has pre-drilled holes which are suppose to line up and brace to footboard for support and that is not the case (design flaw). I had to use 2 exterior nails for support and I added 2 2" l brackets to support the footboard leg post at the start of the ladder steps because they only provide a small bracket which is worthless. I am 205 lbs and will test the top bunk before my kids sleep on the bed. I also recommend installing leg supports in the center section of the bottom bed frame.... ... show more
