Super happy with the quality. Very solid once is completed. Many parts so patience and careful look at instructions is a must. I was able to do it in a day and a half at a calm pace with help from my 80 year old dad. I see complaints in other reviews but they’re related to lack of assembly experience or at least being mechanically inclined. Things I wish I knew in advance: 1. Assembly instructions suggest a 4 person crew. We were able to do most of it with 1-2 people and an occasional 3rd set of hands from a teenager, but 4 people would have made this a lot easier (and maybe faster). 2. The assembly area should ideally be about 2-3 times the space of the bed itself. We staged the supplies in the hall and worked assembly in about a 10 ft by 8 ft space. It worked, but it involved a lot of maneuvering throughout. 3. This is a hugely time consuming task to assemble. It took a total of about 12 hours to complete. (Again, mostly done by 1-2 people in a small space, so you might take less time with more people in a bigger space). 4. Bookshelves are not adjustable if you follow the directions. 5. The videos for construction are TERRIBLE. (I read this in other reviews, but I did not believe it). 6. All measurements are in millimeters. You'll need a measuring tape with metric units or a conversion factor of 2.54 cm per inch (see, math is important in real life!). Overall, it is not unattractive. Exposed hardware still shows but mostly from the sides. The size listed is accurate, albeit in cm. Beware wood warping - we had some that caused minor symmetry issues but nothing else. Considering cost, it was worth the space we saved and not having to buy a specialty mattress, even with assembly. Might not be the case for everyone. ... show more

Fit and finish are pretty bad. Paint globs , small visible gouges , no paint on numerous edges , definitely blow up the images all fasteners are visible , all pivoting wood pieces the fasteners loosen . Which is concerning when it is the legs that hold up the foot of the bed. I wasn't expecting heirloom furniture,but damn. After spending about 10 hours assembling ( I have 30 year of carpentry experience ) I will fix the issues and keep it. Just hope no more surprises. ... show more
