When applying, ensure there is no loose material such as dirt, dust, algae, or mildew. Enlarge small cracks and holes with a chisel to give greater surface for adhesion. Familiarize yourself with the application instructions before using. Do not apply in temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit or when temperature is expected to drop below freezing. Have used this product in the past. I ordered this to have on backup in the event that I need it in the future. It stops water leaks on basement walls and the patching lasts (for years!). Make sure you have rubber gloves to use for mixing/application on hand too. Great product.

    • Nothing beats this & it’s worth every penny
I’ve used this in multiple basements in the soggy Pacific Northwest and it’s worth twice it’s weight in gold. I use latex style gloves to apply the powder directly to the damp/ wet cement and it stops the leaks within moments every. single. time. I’ve watched it stop a steady small flow of water right as it was applied. And by the time I came back in from fixing the gutter issue that led to the leak, it was set and sealed. I’ve tried other similar products, and they simply don’t work as effectively. This last time, they hadn’t had Quikcrete in stock so I went with similar Hydrolock version, but it didn’t work at all! I ordered Quikcrete, chipped the other stuff off (it was still damp after days!) & then applied Quikcrete in the same spot to solve the issue. This is of course just as back up after resolving whatever exterior drainage issue led to the water infiltration. ... show more

Was able to seal sidewalk and patio cracks. Sealed up water tight no more water pour through foundation. Finally dry and wetvac stored away.

Mixed smooth and displaces moisture. Take care to mix small amounts because it sets very quickly. The scant amounts go very far.

    • This product does not live up to the products promises.
I was disappointed because it would not stop the water. Conditions must be perfect with clean block and ideal conditions. Leaks in basements are far from ideal.

Product works well. Amazon provider charges double the price. I needed more and found it locally for half of what I paid in Amazon.

I had a part of my basement foundation where the cement pour apparently wasn't the best. It left a rough area of about 6" diameter and 2 inches deep of a rough patchy hole in the cement. While it was not through the wall, I discovered that after a sustained rain of a day or two, water would leak through this hole into my basement and pool. I purchased this stuff to try to seal the hole. Like it says in the directions, you have got to work fast! As soon as you start mixing water, this stuff heats up considerably and begins to harden soon after. I mixed and filled the patchy hole the best I could, trying to force it into the crevices the best I could (by the way, I removed any loose debris in the hole ahead of time). It took a day or two to completely dry, but I haven't seen any water in the basement yet! ... show more
