Originally bought as a guest bed but loved it so much, it’s now our main bed! We got the 5in mattresses since that was so recommended- I do think 5in would be fine but ours might’ve expanded to just above that threshold and it made the trundle a little difficult (still worked, just super tight). We decided to just stack the mattresses when it’s closed and it’s PERFECT. The height is also so nice for just relaxing. We’re already planning to buy another for our guest room!

Assembled by 2 people about an hour and half. Wasn’t that bad to assemble. I will say that the slats are pretty space out for my comfort, so I also bought a bunker board like I saw in other reviews. My 6 in mattress didn’t fit in the trundle, so we bought 5 in mattresses from amazon, pictured here. It’s still a tight fit, but better than the 6 in mattresses. Pulls out and up easily, and no squeaks in the bed. Bought for the guest/baby room.

I saw the comments about the 6’ mattresses being too thick for the daybed, but the 6’ mattresses fit fine for me. Unfortunately, I was sent the wrong piece. When I contacted customer support, I was told they don’t ship individual replacement parts, so my only options were to return the entire bed or accept a 30% refund. Since the bed was already fully set up, returning it wasn’t practical, so I kept it. That said, I had to drill my own holes into the piece to make it work, which was a hassle and not something I expected to do. Obviously not all the screws fit/lined up into these new holes I created. Because of this workaround, the bed isn’t functional like the way I wanted it to be. It works ok, but the experience and lack of replacement support were frustrating.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Super cute and reasonably priced. Thank you to the other reviewers who mentioned to buy a 4” mattress. The bottom bed is still a little hard to get back under when we want it as just a single bed but it’s worth the struggle. I actually got the hubby to put it together so I love it even more, lol!!! Easy to pull out. I used two 5.5 inch twin foam mattresses. It is used like a lounger couch in a game room and then it’s easy to convert to a bed. It’s been so helpful when we have overnight guests.

Quality not as anticipated based on the pictures. Weird smell and covered in wood shavings? Not happy with this purchase. Amazon wouldn’t let me return my item so I attempted to put it together and noticed the strap was already broken.
