Bed arrived in 2 boxes. We decided to wait to assemble due to renovations on our kids rooms. However, when we were ready, we opened the boxes to start assembling the bed, it was missing instructions and had small chips/cracks in the finished parts of the wood. Contacted Amazon and they said to contact Merax. No response from them, but i don't expect any as their website is shadey in subtlety ways. Lesson learned. Thanks for nothing. ... show more

    • Not sturdy, looks incomplete once assembled cannot build in reverse orientation

We ordered two for a shared room but quickly realized that this bed is only designed for one orientation; meaning that we couldn’t use the second bed because it cannot be assembled in the reverse, if that makes sense. Also, some of the pieces were broken, and there are no covers or putty or touch up paint provided for the exposed holes and screws. See example of desk top provided in pic. Our toddler made the bed wobble simply by climbing up the ladder, so we had to purchase extra lumber to add two support rails to the one bed we were able to use. ... show more

This behemoth took me over 5 hours to assemble. It's SOILD now that it's assembled, so it was worth. The instructions could have been a lot better. Not all the boards were labeled. Tears of frustration were shed

    • Nice and sturdy
This bedroom set looks nice and is sturdy. However it took 10 hours to assemble with power tools. The pieces are not able to be put on a preferred side so our closet has to be against a wall.
