If the day is hotter than 30C (86F), try as we might with fully loaded ice packs and water reservoirs, the temperature doesn’t drop below 78F. Fine for adults, but does not work well for toddler room cooling.

The media could not be loaded. -Mine looks like it has one vent that is broken second from left on arrival that doesnt turn with other vent flow parts. -Oscillation has a clicky sound that is super annoying and very regular.) Noise isn't bad with just fan (haven't put water in it yet, might return it as soo many downfalls on arrival.) Be very careful getting it out of box. It is taped, but I think if you pull it out front wise it can break it without even realizing it. Try to ensure pull it out from back of box by back of fan. There is a handle in upper part of back. I didnt know until I already pulled it out of box.

Before you buy this evaporative cooler, there’s one critical factor you need to consider: the average humidity where you live. If you live in the desert Southwest like I do - Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and similar regions - where humidity typically averages 30% or less, you are going to love how well this cooler performs. In dry climates, it works beautifully. The air comes out noticeably cooler, and the difference in comfort is immediate. Low humidity isn’t just helpful - it’s essential. That’s simply the science behind evaporative cooling. These units rely on dry air to create the cooling effect. When the air is dry, the cooler shines. However, if you live in a humid climate where humidity regularly sits at 50% or higher - such as much of the Northeastern, Eastern, or Southeastern United States - the cooling effect will be minimal at best and possibly nonexistent. In those conditions, you’d likely be better off saving your money and purchasing a good room fan instead. If you’re unsure about your local humidity levels, take a few days to watch your local weather forecasts before buying. That small bit of homework can make the difference between disappointment and absolute satisfaction. In the right environment - dry, low-humidity climates - this unit is nothing short of amazing. It delivers exactly what it promises, and for desert living, it’s a game changer. I give it a solid 5 stars without hesitation.

I think it would work as expected in a small room, the "cooling effect" for me was inadequate, my work area is 17.5 Ft X 20 Ft. Unfortunately was not that cooled off with only this Fan in my work area. If I was very near to it like a foot away I could feel the Cool air. I wanted something that could work as well as my portable air conditioner. I didn't want to rearrange my room for the window air conditioner set up....so I thought this Evaporative Air Cooler would work, it didn't provide the cooling temp that I had hoped for. It's a nice light weight size, it is not loud, really wished the cooling output was better for my room/area. (I picked up another evaporative cooler to add to hopefully add more cool air, but it was still not the same experience as a window attachment portable air conditioner's output).

PLEASE BEWARE❗️ I ordered this fan before understanding that this fan only cools if you live in a dry climate! IT IS NOT FOR STATES THAT ARE VERY HUMID IN THE SUMMER MONTHS❗️This unit sends MOISTURE into the air like a humidifier❗️This is the reason I have only 1 star bc it was not fully explained in the description of the unit before purchasing. Had it been more explanatory I would have never ordered it bc it would not benefit me. I must admit though the seller worked very well with me in getting this item returned to them and I appreciate that.

Good item that provides comfort to a small bedroom. Small enough to put in a corner but provides a good bit of airflow throughout the room. Noise level is on par for most fans like this and remote control works well. Cooling feature keeps temperature in bedroom significantly lower than other rooms with doors shut.
