  • Lightweight Coat, Heavy-Duty Warmth
Color: Grey Size: X-Large
This long winter coat is surprisingly lightweight for how warm it feels. The outer fabric does a solid job blocking wind, and light rain or snow beads right off, so it’s great for commuting or walking the dog. I like the double zipper and side slits more than I expected; you can sit in the car or on the bus without the coat bunching or choking your neck. The length gives good coverage without feeling bulky. The inner pocket is small but handy for keys or a card when you don’t want to dig around. Overall, this is a practical, genuinely warm coat that feels designed for real winter days, not just for looking good in pictures and long evenings outside. ... show more

  • Badly wrinkled
Color: Black Size: Large
The jacket arrived badly wrinkled. The jacket itself is low to medium quality with a thread near the hat needing to be but off. The jacket has a medium amount of insulation. I don't know how the amount of insulation compares to more expensive brands. The jacket seems adequate for winter and even freezing temperatures with layering underneath. The large size fit me well and left enough space that I could wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath if needed. I sprayed some water on it and ran it through the dryer to help get rid of some of the wrinkles as was suggested. It did help a little bit but it's still badly wrinkled due to being folded and vacuum sealed. Honestly if I didn't receive this for free I would've returned it. It's just an unacceptable level of wrinkles for any clothing item. I would say the value is not even good. This is an acceptable jacket if you get it for free, otherwise don't bother. The length of the jacket is good, there are enough pockets, the zipper and button work fine but it still has a low quality feel to it. Overall I can't recommend this until these are sent without being mangled and crushed in a vacuum sealed bag. ... show more

  • Analyzing the "Do-It-All" Budget Winter Coat
Color: Black Size: Large
This jacket from UIQUR, a common brand on large online marketplaces, lists a powerful combination of features: "long," "lightweight," "insulated," and "waterproof." When a single jacket, especially a budget-friendly one, claims to do all of these things, it's important to understand what those terms likely mean in practice. Here is a breakdown of what you can realistically expect from this coat. The "Lightweight Puffer" Insulation For a "long winter coat" to also be "lightweight," it almost certainly uses a synthetic polyester fill for insulation, not premium (and heavy) goose down. Pros: This is not necessarily a bad thing. Synthetic insulation is lightweight, retains insulating properties even when damp (unlike down, which clumps), and is much easier to care for. It also helps keep the cost down. Cons: It may not provide the same "puffy" high-loft warmth as a high-fill-power down parka. This jacket is likely rated for cold city days or moderate winter weather, but probably not for extreme, sub-zero conditions. The "Long Coat" vs. "Warm" Factor The "long" design is a significant advantage for warmth. A coat that covers the thighs and seat does a much better job of protecting your core and lower body from wind and cold than a standard waist-length jacket. This design can make a "lightweight" insulation feel much warmer than it would in a shorter cut. Decoding "Waterproof" This is the most important claim to scrutinize. In the world of technical outerwear, "waterproof" has a very specific meaning (a membrane that can withstand a high-pressure column of water). For a budget-friendly puffer, "waterproof" almost always means "water-resistant." What to Expect: The jacket's shell is likely treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. This means it will effectively shed light snow, mist, and brief rain showers. What NOT to Expect: Do not expect this jacket to keep you dry in a sustained, heavy downpour. The seams are likely not "taped" or sealed, and the DWR finish can wear off over time. It is a winter coat designed to handle snow, not a technical rain slicker. The Verdict: A Good Value for Urban Winter This UIQUR coat is likely a strong value for its specific purpose: navigating a typical cold and damp urban winter. The combination of a long cut, a hood, and water-resistant synthetic insulation is a practical and low-maintenance choice. You should consider this coat if: You need a daily coat for commuting to work or school. Your winters are moderately cold, windy, and see occasional light snow or rain. You want the extra warmth of a long parka without the bulk and high price of a premium down-filled expedition jacket. You should probably skip this coat if: You live in an area with consistently sub-zero temperatures (e.g., Upper Midwest, rural Canada). You need a technical, truly waterproof shell for heavy, wet rain. You are looking for a high-performance, packable down jacket for backcountry activities. ... show more

  • Two-Way Front Zipper & Side Slit Zippers for Easy Mobility
Color: Black Size: XX-Large
I purchased this Men’s Long Puffer Jacket in XXL for my husband, who is about 5'9". The fit is roomy and comfortable without being too bulky, and it goes all the way down to his knees—perfect for extra coverage on cold, snowy days. The jacket is surprisingly lightweight, but it’s well-insulated, providing excellent warmth without feeling heavy. One standout feature is the drawstring hood, which is large enough to fully cover the head and neck, offering great protection from wind and snow. It also features a knitted cuff portion in the sleeves, which is a game-changer for keeping cold air and snow from creeping up the sleeves while shoveling or walking through deep snow. The jacket’s two-way front zipper is a nice touch for comfort and adjustability, especially when sitting down in the car or moving around. There are also side slit zippers at the hem that provide extra mobility and make it easier to get in and out of a car without feeling restricted. The jacket has two deep outer pockets that are great for storing gloves, keys, or a phone, and there’s an additional inner pocket for more secure storage. In terms of quality, the material feels durable yet soft to the touch. The stitching is well-done, and the jacket seems built to last, even with frequent outdoor use. The price point feels very reasonable for the quality and the features it offers. I’ve seen similar jackets for much higher prices, but this appears to be one that will hold up well for daily winter activities like walking, shoveling snow, or running errands. Overall, I’d highly recommend this jacket for anyone in need of a reliable winter coat that combines warmth, comfort, and practical features at a reasonable price. ... show more
