I bought this coat to replace the one I've had since 2002. Needless to say, that one's a bit worn, but still functional. Now it's more of a "working outside" coat on cold days. This new one is 99% as good as the old one. Both are plenty warm and a good length. My only complaint with this new one is that it doesn't have the outer left side breast pocket, the left sleeve pocket, or the netting on the inside. The feathers were coming out as soon as I tried it on so I returned it I didn't like that all over my sweater or t -shirt when ever I took it off , in the past I had bought other north faces similar to this one and it didn't do this so I don't know what's wrong with this one but I had to return it I can't get used to all the feathers all over me ... show more

Is coat may not hold a candle to the old versions. But after covid, the quality of everything went downhill, so i'm taking that into consideration. This is a really warm jacket. I actually have to order a different ccoat that's not as warm, (because this one is too warm for normal winter weather). My biggest complaint is the fur that goes around the hood, flip flops around and doesn't stay in place. ... show more

By far the warmest coat I've ever had. You are indoors from your neck to your thigh no matter what else is going on. It is big and puffy but not overly heavy. This winter is really making us earn it and the coat feels like justice in the face of adversity.
