As a bodybuilder I bought this as an added means of trying to control my slightly blocky obliques. I have a 30" waist so I ordered the small. I'm about 12% bodyfat so relatively lean, and even the small provides next to no compression at all. The quality of the product is good but even at the smallest size available for me it was too large.

In September my goal was of getting rid of the pandemic belly, pizza every day and no gym. Started with size XL and i could not close it, so depressing. I went to the doctor for abdominal distension, they gave me pre and probiotics - expensive S** It did work initially then it stopped. In my experience, distended belly is due to several factors, yes bad diet, lack of exercise ruin your gut flora. Stress and anxiety are a huge factor too. My belly was sticking out so much, started hiking and gradually eating healthy and finally squeezed into MOLUTAN and gradually increasing the wearing time to 11hrs a day, I know it's too long but it worked for me. Started gym and the waist trainer was perfect for not injuring my back as my core was weak, I haven't done no fitness in the past 2 years. by mid Sep I was at last raw of XL. By end of September I had to buy smaller size down (L) I'm running 4miles and going to the gym and eat clean and wear the Mulutan continuously, even at the gym not during sleep. Mid October I had to buy size M, I'm achieving my goals. I’m back in fitness regime and diet and Molutan is helping to bring my belly down. First week of Nov and I'm wearing size S - WOOT WOOT!!! I wear the Molutan WT all the time but when sleeping and at the gym the small size constricts movement as it should for my built I'm 6'1- 215 and I'm in my 50's - I wear a sauna belt instead and squeeze back into WT once done exercising. I'm starting to see abs in the morning :) By end of December I wanna be tight!! Benefit of Mlutan Men Waist Trainer compered to others. At first I was surprised abut the quality, I was expecting a lower quality, it exceeded my expectations. Well constructed, the 9 strong bones makes everything staying in place and doesn’t bunch nor loose shape. It greatly support my back, I have a bad back, it helps me with gym recovery. It makes my midsection sweat a lot, which mean I need to clean it everyday. Watch for expensive WT out there with no steels bones, those are a rip off imo.

I have a 32" waist so based on the sizing chart the Medium (30.7-32.6) should have fit just fine but after one use the material stretched out way too much and it's now loose, even on the tightest clips. I would highly suggest buying 2 sizes smaller if you want any sort of compression. Lastly, I doubt the velcro will last very long. It's a cheap version and doesn't seem to provide any grip to the cross-over straps meant to give you extra compression. I'm returning mine. Big disappointment. UPDATE: as expected the Velcro no longer grips. Lasted a few months. Total junk.
