This set comes with a ton of magnets and designs. Not all of the designs come out looking like what I expected. It is important to make sure you center the design magnets when you hold it close to the nail because if the magnet is off-center, you will not get the desired effect. Most of the magnets do not end up looking like the picture on the magnet itself. Overall, the set is fun and gives unique looks to my nails. The included solid magnets are strong and work well. I will continue to use them and enjoy them. For $12.99, I do not regret my purchase. It was fun to experiment with and I consider it a reasonable price for a new experience.

Comes with a variety of magnets to choose from, each one is unique and trendy! Easy to use, simply use like a wand over the polish and you will instantly see how it alters and changes right before your eyes! This set of cat eye polish magnets comes with a huge variety of different designs. Cat eye polish is something that does take a bit of trial and error to get right and I think this set of magnets makes that easier. There are plenty of magnets included that are beginner friendly (the paddle shaped patterned magnets) and there are also a bunch that allow you to create your own design. I really like the one that has the flat magnet on one side and the round one on the other. Also the long silver cylindrical magnet is fun too. I do wish the set came in some kind of storage case that helped to store the magnets separate from each other and some of the plastic pieces don't feel super durable, but those are just nitpicks. Overall I think this set is good for the price and a good beginner set for anyone just getting into cat eye gel polish.

I have been struggling for ages to do a heart with cat eye gel and I was hoping with this set I might have success but sadly, no love, and my hunt continues. However, as you can see in the photo, I was able to achieve some other cool designs with the other eight paddle wands. You have to get really really close to the surface, hold very still and count to around 15 slowly, that's how I had the best results and I'm hoping to get clearer results with practice. I'm not knocking off a star for my lack of success with the heart as that could well be user error, a need for more practice, or I'm just cursed. I will say that the big silver tube wand, the longest tool, is super strong and an absolute winner and that tool alone is worth the price of admission to me. The pink wand is another winner, especially the flower end. Overall for thirteen dollars I think this is a great set and a good value and of all the magnet sets I've tried, and I think this is about my sixth set, this is hands down the winner. I like that this came with a wide variety of magnets to experiment with and combine in different ways and I will be occupied with mad scientist type cat eye adventures for some time.

There are so many magnets! This kit comes with so many magnets and with so many patterns. The possibilities are actually near endless on this one. You will not need another set after this. I am in love with MelodySusie products already and this one is just so playful and has so many choices. I don't really have great luck with magnetic polishes because honestly I don't always know what I'm doing but this has made it me-proof. The magnets are strong and the patterns are really pronounced. In the past I've just gotten Little flimsy pieces of wires in shapes but with this I have these nice little paddles that give me the shapes. It's so nice to get a heart from a little paddle rather than a v shape that might also make a rabbit somehow. I am really thrilled with this set. I can't wait to use it on my press ons.

Some of these magnets are great to work with, some not so much. The paddles of designs just do not work as advertised. The long magnet is the sturdiest and my go-to for magnetic gel polish. The little flower one doesn't work as well as my other flower magnet from Melody Susie, which was a little surprising. I've been doing a lot of cat eye gel over the last few months, and sometimes the magnets just aren't strong enough to push around the particles. But it's still a good set to learn with, I just don't rely on the 'fancy' ones.
