Like everyone else in the bad reviews, I got an infection from this kit. However, I can't say I wasn't blown away by this kit at first though. The gel lasted; the colors were nice. I didn't have any spillage upon arrival. The lamp worked and it came with so many other tools to help do your nails I was in love!!! Sadly...after doing my nails only twice (my hands) I noticed my nails were extremely brittle. And I'm saying, more brittle than gel usually makes them...now I decided to stop using the kit, as my pinky nail has completely lifted from underneath, I'm afraid I'll lose it all together and I'm not even sure how. And the nail pain was unbearable. I bought this kit with a gift card from Christmas no less...Merry Christmas to me. And I usually NEVER get infections or reactions from anything. Never. Fast forward to new year's, I decided to do my toes. Mistake. My big toenail now has a big BLACK spot, UNDERNEATH my nail. I didn't even know until I took off the gel. I'm not even sure how that could happen. But after reading other reviews, I am certain it's infected and I am waiting for my doctor's appointment. STAY AWAY. It might work at first, for a little bit you'll feel great! Probably won't even notice the damage it's doing, especially when your nails are covered with the paint. If you're using this, I highly recommend you stop. I'm so sad since I was so happy about how great my nails came out each time. It's just a shame...I'm not sure why amazon is still selling these crappy Chinese products to people after all these infections and bad reviews. It does seem to be getting better and since I've stopped using the kit, my nails have gotten so much better and the black spot under my toenail is growing out so I am hoping eventually I could just clip it off. But I will let the doctor decide. Amazon should be ashamed of themselves. Save your money and go to a notable salon. It's just not worth it. The chemicals/bacteria in the nail paint and the gel that they are selling is not worth it and most the chemicals used over there are not approved here in America. And the Chinese cut corners to sell and make money. Your health is not worth it. Paint your nails the old way or go to a salon. Unless you want black toenails, and for every nail to fall off like nothing...then be my guest. I can't even get a refund since it's been a couple months, not like the seller responds anyway. I now have to throw out 60 + beautiful nail colors, a LED LAMP, and gel acrylics I also bought. SO SAD. I COULD CRY. STAY AWAY. STAY STAY STAY AWAY. Easily the best purchase I’ve made. I use to get my nails done every 3-4 weeks, I decided to take a break for a while. I wanted to start getting my nails done again but the cost had gone up once again so I opted to try out this gel manicure set. I’ve heard of unsuccessful purchases and stories but this kit did not disappoint. So many color options and so easy! It took a bit with painting my right hand but it’s getting better and better. I read through a lot of the reviews before purchasing this set. Those who left one star because of an allergic reaction? People have allergies/reactions to different things, that doesn't mean this product is bad. You don't leave a bad review for a jar of peanut butter if you have a peanut allergy do you? Ok, my personal experience....I waited a full 7 days before writing this to see how it held up. Photo is from today, one week after applying. No chipping or pealing. You absolutely have to do it right or it will not work. Those who reviewed that it didn't set and it pealed same day are not doing it correctly. The base coat and polish itself will NOT completely set, it will be sticky, don't touch it, that is normal. You have to make sure you get the top coat beyond the polish line and over the tips, that's what makes the difference. Also, be sure your nails are prepped correctly. Clean and dry, do not touch them after they are cleaned. Oils from your hands will interrupt the curing process It is an odd finish, it's not solid hard like with powder dip. It's more of a hard rubber feeling (if that makes sense). But it was fast to apply and is still going strong one week later. I do wish the bottles were a little bigger, they are on the small side but I'm happy with it. ... show more

I love this kit. It’s everything you need to do a gel manicure! I do them once a week because I like to change the color! The shine last all week and I love the fact it comes with 63 colors! The more I paint my nails the more I get better! I would recommend this kit to anymore. I save on average $70 a month doing them at home!! The nail salons were getting to be too much! I’ve used this kit twice so far! I do the base coat, 2 color coats, and the top coat. I do 60s for each coat and it cures so nicely! My first time using it the gel lasted 3 weeks. Right at the 3 week mark, the ends began chipping but it was time for a redo anyways because of how much growth I had. This is a really nice starter kit for beginners, I have been going to the salon for a while and it is sooo expensive so I decided to do my own nails. Absolutely amazing and a bunch of colors to choose from as well. For the gel color it takes about 3 coats for the desired color. It has stayed on for a pretty decent time. The uv light is a little smaller than I expected along with the nail brush thing, but other than that it is a very nice starter kit ... show more

I’m a little worried about this product so I only did one hand based on the reviews citing an allergic reaction. For now, right after application, my nails feel fine. I did use a high quality base and top coat though because I didn’t want to risk it with these. I bought this kit because it was cheap and the colors looked pretty so I wasn’t in need of the base and top coats. The color was a bit grainy but after three coats it looks fine. It did feel a bit stickier than what my uv usually cures after 60s with other higher quality gel polish. But again, after a different brand top coat they are hard and no reaction so far. ... show more
