It's easy to take apart so it's not as heavy and we even kept the box it came in to store in. We bought a king size. It does not scratch easily and is very solid. I did not expect such a good product from Amazon and I am happy to say I'd buy another if I ever needed to. I bought this in early 2020. This is a great product and mostly well designed, but when we put the slats in, no matter how much we tried the side rails bowed out about a half inch in the middle. We used a strap to pull it together. I contacted Mellow- the manufacturer and instead of offering to help, the threatened me with a voided warranty if we continued to use the frame. They felt the frame was defective, but it is a design flaw. There is not enough cross support in the middle. Only suggestion was to return it. Thanks for the help! ... show more

This bed frame was super easy to assemble! My husband helped me carry it up the stairs (I got the queen size model so it was too heavy for me to carry on my own), but otherwise I was able to assemble all of it by myself. It had a few scuff marks on it when I opened the box up, but otherwise I am very pleased with this bed frame. ... show more

I have been shopping for a platform bed for my guest room. After shopping Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma, Macy's, and Pottery Barn (my favorite) I found this one. It is AMAZING! The others wanted up to $975.00 for a wood platform bed. There is just no way that I could justify spending that much. SO I went on Amazon and found this one, even though it was made in China, which I prefer USA built, I bought it and took me less than half an hour to assemble on my own. It is so sturdy, the mattress fits perfectly and looks really clean, comfortable, and modern. There is plenty of storage place underneath the bed as well if you like storing things under the bed.     • Instructions are a little confusing

I have bought a few mellow products and love the quality. However this bed in particular had instructions that were not 100% clear and were different when a customer service agent sent me instructions. If the middle part of the bed ends up short, they did not give you the wrong parts. The legs at the corner must be position long side to side rails (the legs are rectangles so the long side needs to line up with the side rails). After that installation was super easy and straight froward. The sticky tape on the support beams will last about 2 year from what my old bed had and that was with removing the mattress it to rotate it every month. I highly recommend this product but if they re write the instructions to include what the customer service rep told me about making sure the legs line up the correct way then it is a 5 star frame even at full price. ... show more

at 60, and a mom i put it together myself, its solid and light and fits directly into the bed frame, solid made but i think one more slat would be better as i had to adjust to make slats towards center of frame, would recommend and i wish i had bought years ago saved money on mattress boxed frame, excellent design ... show more

Quick and easy to assemble. Very solid and sturdy with ample storage space underneath. Very good quality, very nice looking and I love the powder coated finish. I bought it in white and it is a beautiful soft finish. Excellent choice and at a good price.
