This product was actually really fun to put together, and this was the first (and will probably be the last) time I am saying this about putting together furniture. It was easy and straightforward and fun to get it from a box to my most important piece of furniture...my bed! It has a very simple, sleek, and classy look to it. It's minimalist without being boring. It is sturdy and easy to move and use. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and the way overpriced modern metal beds I've seen people blow money on. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for the things I looked for in my bed: lower to the ground for the safety of young kids and dogs who like to visit, classier-looking than a typical bed frame with no headboard and footboard, easier to move, easier to set up, easy to match to any and all decor, stable for back-supporting sleep, strong and enduring for crazy kids that jump and play everywhere, and space-maximizing.

We flooded during Harvey and finally were able to move back into our home although not completely or even halfway done. We have two large older dogs who love to sleep with us so a lower bed was needed. I didn't want to spend a fortune and this fit our budget. It was super easy to put together and easy to move when we had to rotate rooms as we fixed one and moved to that room in order to finish the room we were in at the time. Our mattress fits perfectly on to it as well. So far we have not experienced any creaking or noises from our bed. With my husband, myself and 2 80 pounds dogs this frame has been sturdy. I will be coming back for a Queen sized one for the other 2 rooms as well. Quick shipping package came without any damage as well. It is low even with our mattress but perfect for our dogs and my husband who has had 2 hip replacements.

About me: I am a small asian man and I only weigh about 130 pounds. As it regards "cardio" and fitness activities, I cannot offer any advice on this frame. Pros: It is simple and elegant. It does not weigh a lot due to it's hollow construction. It was very easy to assemble. The slats are supportive enough for me (granted, my mattress is very firm and I don't weigh much). The frame and legs have small plastic endcaps/feet that seemed to protect the floor (without any weight on top of the frame, however) Cons: This is not a heavy-duty frame. The thickness of the steel is very thin, no thicker than 1/32 inch. So when tightening down the bolts to assemble the frame, it doesn't take a lot of torque/tightening to start compressing the sides of the frame. I assume such "overtightening" was one factor in the negative reviews of frames that collapsed. The bolts are made of softer metal than I would prefer, so be careful not to crossthread or overtighten the bolts. The bolts do not thread into metal inserts, but just thread through the frame itself. Not surprised at this price. The square corners of the frame do stick out beyond the mattress, but the corner is not rough and sharp. The frame is 10 inches to the top of the frame, but you only have 8 inches of clearance under the frame due to the two bars that run across the length of the frame. Not really a flaw, but just something to consider. Conclusion: It is a good frame that will last a long time for lighter people or for monks and nuns. It's a $150 bed frame, so don't expect superior craftsmanship. The frame is advertised as steel, but that doesn't mean it's heavy-duty. Just don't expect to make a baby WWE style on this. Pretty, simple, cheap, good enough.

The media could not be loaded. Very impressed with quality overall, was hesitating to weather or not to buy it. I've seen multiple reviews for the Mellow bed frame and was considering buying the Zinus version but didn't want to shell out $200 dollars, glad I went with the more affordable one. It literally took me 20 to 25 minutes to put this together and everything was packaged carefully with no dents or chips. Everything was simple to read and was glad that it even came with tools to assemble it. If I could give this product a 10 rating I would happily do so. I went with the 6 inch bedframe, it's stylish and has a minimalist look and feel to it. Great for small tiny apartments, I live in NYC and it's the perfect size for my tiny studio. I highly recommend this bed frame if you're looking to buy a decently affordably priced and great quality bed frame you won't be disappointed very satisfied!

My husband was impressed (not easily done) with its sturdiness. I bought this for an air mattress. I was happy with the fit. I did have an issue with the cross boards for the mattress, as it apparently is made for a box spring. The boards had 3 1/4" spaces in between them. I didn't care for that, so we bought additional boards, planed them down to the correct height to match the original boards, cut the boards to 3 1/4" and 57" long. May seem like a lot of work, but it really wasn't. Then I bought a "FestiCorp Non Slip Rug Pads 5x7 Ft Non Skid Rug Pad Gripper, Anti-Slip Carpet Rug Mat" to put over the boards to protect the mattress, and I didn't want it slipping over the boards. It was about an extra $55 for the boards and pad, but well spent money. Then we took and used screws and bolts and attached a headboard to it. VERY HAPPY WITH FRAME, and not at all "put out" with a little extra effort.
