You'll have to use some critical thinking skills as the instructions aren't perfectly clear on everything, especially when it comes to when you should and shouldn't tighten down screws. For example, you'll never be able to tighten the footer screws after you stand the posts upright, so you have to tighten them right away. For the rest though you'll have to keep them loose until almost everything is standing. Use your judgement to tell when you'll lose access to a screw and make sure to tighten while you still have the chance. Seems pretty sturdy. Survived the winter storm we got just fine. (Didn't have the canvas up yet but it has straps attached to tie that down to the posts for when it's too windy.) Seller is helpful if you need to contact them. Do it through Amazon though. The email address on the manual appears to be an old one.

We installed this gazebo in July 2022. It is a good gazebo. Installation is a pain. I had to get two handyman's come over and finish the job. The first guy installed it but couldn't finish it properly. So, after a month I got another handyman to come and fix the remaining aspects. If you are buying this... be ready for installation issues (unless you like the challenge of such installation projects). We need a replacement part as our rooftop have a few holes now due to natural event. I am trying to get someone to get me a replacement part. What is the official website of Mellcom? What is the customer service number? Does anyone have any number/email you can provide? The installation guide has a hotmail.com email id.. Is there no official mellcom website customer support email?

Great gazebo for the price. Picture shows completed build with lights (not included). Very happy with the appearance at night. 4-stars because of quality; instructions weren’t great, actually had to undo some parts to move forward, many roof panels were dinged and damaged but tolerable. For the price, you are getting a large gazebo with a mesh net and protective covering, but with strong wind it doesn’t do much to protect what’s inside. Overall, pretty happy with the build and end result. You can get far working alone, but when you start the roof, one or two extra pair of hands is suggested. Overall working time for 1-3 people 7-8hrs.

We live in the Pacific Northwest and have had this item for several months now. We mou Ted it directly to a new wood deck and it has been through some record heat in the summer, a few wind storms, rain, and some decent snows. We added a couple strings of lights as well, so far it has worked well for us overall. However, if you aren't so handy, might be more of an issue to maintain. Pros: Easy setup overall, did 90% of it with no help. A 12' or extendable ladder helps a lot too. Studying the drawings and the parts before hand helped with the moderately useful instructions. The hook holds a hefty fan with no problems, as mentioned by others adding a length of chain makes reaching it much easier. Stays dry underneath when rainy, holds up to 5-6 inches of dry snow no problem as well. Cons: If you routinely have winds above 25-30MPH, you should modify the lower retainers and panels or go with a unit with more solid construction. The lower retainers are very flimsy and flex allowing lower edge to come free and the panel to blow out. Also an issue when snow starts to slide off and drags on the retainer. My plan is to replace them with 1/2" angle iron, and add some self tapping screws with 1" washers through the lower panels into the mid brace. The curtains fade quickly, taking them down for long periods of disuse and/or storm season is advisable. While the plastic roof material doesn't radiate the summer heat down like metal roofing does, the glare of the sun can be a bit much. We added sheer drapery material to cut the glare and further reduce radiant heat as a fix (plus my girls like how it looks).

Read a review where someone complained about "leaking everywhere". I have a feeling that person didn't pay attention to orientation of pieces and the weep holes. They are only on 1 side of each piece, and if you put it in wrong, the water probably would leak around the seams at some point. I put this up 3 days ago. Yesterday it started raining and is still raining today. It doesn't even have a drop of water on the roof inside. It is shedding the water just fine. I don't have it anchored into concrete or anything, so I have attached it by rope and wire to green metal 't' posts. It sits well and has already survived 20 mph wind gusts. Hope it survives stronger wind, and I think it will. For the price it is very good, I think. If you want something stronger and sturdier, go with wood, but that will be twice the price at least. It was easy enough to follow the instructions. Just pay attention. 4 stars on product over all because the roof is plastic, the metal is aluminum, and with strong enough wind or hail, not sure if it will last. I hope, and I think it will. Overall it was worth the buy.
