I purchased this board for a pullout couch with a cheap 4" mattress. I had already invested in a memory foam topper to put on top of the couch mattress but it didn't work very well. It needed to have the support of the board underneath. So I purchased the board and I am extremely satisfied. The pullout is now very comfortable. Unfortunately the item came with a slash in the plastic covering. It’s heavy & sturdy making everyday use a pain. It did make sleeping in the sofa bed much better, I did not feel the bars. I only gave it a 3 stars because of the damage.

Fold out couch with a memory foam mattress is less than a year old and started sinking in the middle, causing back pain in the morning. I was a little unsure of this product when ordering because it doesn’t cover the entire frame but you only need it to cover the first and middle bars of the couch frame to feel a difference. I read many reviews so we are very careful with this product as we were told it could break if you sat wrong. It does firm up our sofa couch but not like a real mattress. We were desperate because we need to use this couch on occasion. Not good for long term use, just go out and buy a bed. If you have to use it, you can make do.
