My update on this light. I had to be fair....the delivery was horrible but my husband was able to put the light together and it looks beautiful. Have not hung it up yet ..but will update when we do. *Can't even give this a review because the box came as if it fell out of a plane...the box looks like someone opened it and taped it all up and then jumped up and down on the box a thousand times. I love the new chandelier. It was packaged extremely well so there was no damage. Very easy to put together but hanging it was a challenge. It's a bit heavy and definitely takes 2 people. There was plenty of chain and cord for our tall ceiling. When we were screwing the bulb receptacle to the base, I noticed the wire casing inside was worn down to bare wire. We didn't see any damage to the wires themselves so wrapped with electrical tape. This was the case on 2 or 3 bulbs. Please check carefully before installing. ... show more

This is a sturdy light that puts out a ton of light, best used in high ceilings or really dark spaces. It can handle up to 8 60watt bulbs. I think I overshot this choice of chandelier for our low ceiling, small dining room, so we put 25watt bulbs in and it's still more than ample. I didn’t pay much attention to the discription not including a remote! We bought 2 of this same lamp and love everything about it! If we didn’t have an electrician hang it though we would have had to send it back! Our ceilings are 13 feet high so having a remote would have made it So much easier to hang ... show more

When the package arrived I thought it was huge but when hung up it looks great. I bought day light edison bulbs which may be a tad too bright. I didn’t realize the bottom holder had little gems. It really adds to the sparkle to the room.
