We wallpapered the fiberboard ceiling tiles in our master bedroom. First, we filled in all the cracks with a lightweight spackle and sanded it down. The cracks weren’t perfectly filled, but we needed it flat enough so the wallpaper would stick. Then, we rolled with Killz bonding primer. Installing the wallpaper required two people. There’s no way around this. Get two ladders and a friend (a PATIENT friend). The wallpaper itself is flexible and has a forgiving, bush pattern (which is helpful if you’re trying to hide texture). The benefit to it being flexible is that the pattern doesn’t line up perfectly. You have to gently stretch the paper so it lines up close enough when you’re not installing on a square surface (and almost no walls and ceilings are completely square). This was a challenging project, but so worth it for the look. This wallpaper is high quality and user friendly, but it would’ve been more so if the pattern was seamless. However, as you can tell by the photo, it’s impossible to notice by anyone other than the installer. ... show more
