  • Great Quality Light-Up Mask
My son is absolutely obsessed with this mask. He likes to wear it underneath his hood at night to scare off his other siblings in a game of hide and seek. The mask is really cool, as you only need to swipe your hand across the front of it in order to to change the light effects in the front. One a single charge, it was able to last days because he didn’t overly use it. But it has lasted quite a while and he doesn’t know if he has seen every single face yet. But I will definitely be recommending this product out for Everyone looking for a fun mask for events, Halloween, or just to play at night with. ... show more

  • A bit better than expected
Looks spooky and menacing to me, which I would say is the intent of this sort of mask. I wear a 7-3/4 New Era ball cap so I'm on the larger end of adult head sizes and it fits pretty well. Strap is elastic and adjustable and there's 1in of foam padding to stand it off from your face because it's nearly flat. This works adequately and it stays pretty snug without smushing my face too much. I'd say visibility is fine for an adult, the 3 slots give a decent field of view with some peripheral, but it's occluded enough that I don't think I'd let a kid wearing it run around unsupervised near a road while trick or treating. Construction is pretty good quality. Frame looks and feels like an ABS sort of plastic and is pretty robust and tough, doesn't feel cheap. LEDs are a good level of brightness, not glaring but not dim, and there's no spill or glare inside the mask. Electronics are good, but I would say underutilized given it has a pretty quick ARM microcontroller onboard (AT32F421, looks similar to an STM32X4XX in features). Some way to program your own graphics and routines would be nice and I know the hardware could support it. There is an unpopulated connector pad for a JTAG with the signals helpfully labeled, so there's probably some hackability potential. Built in modes are alright, but adding another button or long press sequence to allow some customization would be completely feasible and really improve the options by allowing the user to color shift or change the speed of a pattern. Gesture sensor works alright for what it does, using an optical proximity sensor around the mouth area. Charges with a USB C connector but isn't conforming to the PD spec enough to for a more sophisticated USB C port to detect it and supply power. You have to use an A port that just supplies 5V and doesn't care what's on the other end. This is unfortunately completely expected for USB C powered toys. Battery is a 600mAh pouch pack LiPo which is slightly disconcerting just in the aspect that a LiPo is strapped to your face. Nothing particular to this design other than it's a mask that has a LiPo in it and LiPos have spicy failure modes. Charges at 400mA which should be a safe rate for this type of battery and is well inside the 5V at 1A limit of USB A. Run time is going to depend a lot on what display routine is running. I would expect somewhere around the claimed 8h when displaying the static X_X "Purge" pattern, but running the rainbow spiral animation where every pixel is lit all the time it's going to be substantially less. Didn't notice any perceptible heat coming from the front or back after letting it run for ~15min with a full frame animation. ... show more

  • Super fun novelty mask.
This mask is really fun. It was pretty cheap, so I'm actually very pleased with how well it works. The LEDS are nice and bright. The mask has a stretchy elastic band so it fits a variety of head sizes. It has a sensor on the front that you wave your hand in front of to make it cycle through the different preset designs. You do have to move your hand a bit slowly for it to register. For example, a quick one second swish over your face won't trigger it, but it you do a slow swish (3ish seconds) it works like a charm. ... show more

  • Not flexible
Worksbas intended and has plenty of cool features, the only issue is how stiff it is. I expected it to fit like other masks do but kinda just straps to your face. Not a bad product for the price though 4 stars. I hope this review helps and thank you for taking the time tor read it. Should anything notable happen while I use this product I'll update my review for you here. Thank you! ... show more

  • Coolest mask EVER!
Oh this mask is pretty sweet. My nephews are definitely going to get a kick out of it. I’ve wanted one of these things forever just cause they look fun and I was certainly correct. This thing has a ton of different faces (well 50 to be exact) from static (not moving) to dynamic (moving) and is super easy to change. There is a button right at the bottom towards the mouth to turn it on/off (long press) or change faces manually (short press) but the easiest way to change the face is simply hold your hand in front of it for a couple seconds and it switches for you. Haha. It also, says “OK” which I thought was fun but I haven’t figured out quite how to make it do it regularly. I’ll admit I didn’t look at the instructions but that’s because everything is pretty easy to use and self explanatory. Overall this is an AWESOME lil mask and I’m gonna have to pick up another cause I can see my nephews fighting over this one! ... show more

  • LED Lighted Mask
Lightweight and fun to wear this lighted rechargeable mask is stated to have 234 LEDs and 25 static and 25 dynamic patterns. The mask is flat black plastic and the back has foam cushioning that surrounds the eyes and part of the forehead to distance the mask from the face. An adjustable attached hook and loop closure strap around the back of the head secures the device in place. Included is a USB A to USB C charging cable to power the lights. There is a control button on the back of the mask at the lower chin—long press for on/off and short press to cycle through all the patterns. Additionally there is a convenient gesture control feature that is convenient and allows the pattern to be changed with a wave of the hand. To activate cover the sensor with palm or a fingertip which is located on the front of the mask about 2/3 of the way down. At the same time press and hold the control button on the back for 3 seconds. At this point the battery life indicator pattern will appear and then one of the regular design patterns will be displayed. Keep the sensor covered and begin pressing the button manually cycling through the patterns and my experience was at about the third or fourth pattern an OK in green lights would appear which indicates the gesturing feature is enabled. Stop covering the sensor and now the pattern may be changed by simply making a tight sweeping gesture close above the sensor which eliminates the need to fuss with the button while wearing the mask. Excellent. ... show more
