    • Great scooter: good speed & range, better than competitors, good value
I have been meaning to write this review ever since I bought this, a bit more than a year ago. I have been using the scooter almost daily for commuting, and it has been very stable and trustworthy. Its combination of price, range, and max speed is almost unbeatable. I had previously bought a Segway Ninebot scooter with very good reviews for the same price, but max speed was lower AND the battery was very tight for my daily commute (8 miles). I returned it and bought this, and haven't regretted it for a day! Maybe the range for the full-speed option with some traffic light stops is closer to 10-11 miles, but you can extend that by running on the 2nd speed option, which is a bit slower but still quite fast (same as full speed of Ninebot). Just for reference, full-speed option is like a fast bike (you go past most bikes on the street), medium speed is like a medium bike (fast bikes go past you). I had one important mishap, that was however resolved swiftly and at no cost: a couple of months back, after a year of almost daily use, the scooter suddenly stopped working. Totally out of the blue, in a period where I was using it daily, one day it would only run for 50 meters, and run out of battery. I contacted support, and they were very responsive! They told me to send the scooter back, they sent me a UPS prepaid tag for it, and I received it back ~20 days later, fully functional, cleaned(!), and without extra charge!! They were really kind, and sent me several emails during that period, to make sure I had sent it, to tell me it has been sent back, to make sure I got it back, and to ask if I was happy with the fix.     • Battery issue-update
I purchased this scooter for my 10 yr old daughter for Christmas. She has LOVED this scooter until yesterday (less than 6 months). The battery showed 3 bars and cut off unexpectedly. We charged it to a full battery today and it turned on for approx. 20 seconds then cut off again. I followed the troubleshooting on the website but it still will not turn in. I have reached out to customer service by email and am waiting a response. I will update my review once I hear back from the company. I feel like this scooter is too expensive to work less than 6 months. UPDATED-this company’s customer is top notch. They responded quickly, asked for a video of the issue. Emailed me a shipping label to send scooter to be repaired. I took the scooter to the ups store to have them pack it (that part cost me $18) but the shipping was free. Unfortunately the carton arrived empty. The company reached out to me and offered me a refurbished scooter to replace the one that was missing. Replacement scooter arrived within a week and looked brand new. We have had it for a week now and have had no issues so far. The company reached back out to me after new scooter arrived to make sure everything was good with the scooter which I thought showed care and concern.     • DO NOT BUY!!!!!
I read the reviews and some warned not to buy but I needed a Christmas gift for my daughter and she desperately wanted one of these scooters! So I bought it anyway and I’m mad I did. So we opened it for Christmas and charged the battery like it said to do we read the instructions. My daughter rode it around the basement but not a ton of room. So we kept in downstairs until the weather in Michigan broke to ride it outside. So April came she rode it a few times outside it rode well and seemed sturdy and fine. Came time to charge it again for the second time only and it won’t charge!!!! So I contacted the company in may. I bought the extended warranty too. They said they won’t send a new one we will have to ship it back in it’s original box which was thrown away at Christmas. And they will look it over. They said it’s probably the battery… but they don’t have any batteries so we have to wait until whenever they get some!!!! So my daughter is not going to have a scooter I’m sure all of summer! So her expensive Christmas gift she really hasn’t even used is broken and they will not just send a new one and can’t repair is soon because they don’t have parts!!! Save your time and money and don’t buy this piece of junk!! I’m out $300 plus now!! ... show more
