This an ok wheelchair, it gets the job done. Not good for long term use, say on a two week vacation bc it’s just a pain with wheels wearing fast and it’s uncomfortable if you have to sit in it for more than hour.

The transporter is nice & easy to wheel my parents in. Turns with ease & glides smoothly. Easily folds flat and fits in the back of my suv trunk. Although I'll admit it does have a little weight to it. It's not exactly very light to handle. The side pouch is a nice addition to carry their phones, snacks, water bottle etc. I also bought an attachment backpack that fits nicely on the back of handles, so I can carry a sweater/jacket & a lap blanket for them in the colder months. My only complaint would be, I wish the seat itself was deeper in. The width is comfortable for a medium to small frame. But I just wish the seat went deeper into the back so that they can sit more comfortably w/out feeling so pushed out. I sat in it to see how it feels, and personally I would have preferred it to be more laid back to feel more at ease & comfy. But if you're just using it to get someone from point a to point b, then it's really not so bad, as long as they're not going to sit in it for a long period of time, otherwise, I would think they might start to get back aches from being pushed upright in that seat for so long. I just wish they would make this same style, but with just a deeper, more comfortable seat, and for the back to be able to recline just a smidgen. Then you don't feel like you're being pushed forward out of the seat. This is also why I didn't get them a cushion. I feel like it would make them feel like they're gonna fall out of the seat then. ... show more

The item was too heavy, the seat and bag on the side of the chair looks cheap. On top of that the box arrived damaged, therefore the item had broken pieces and I wasn’t able to put it together. I’m returning this item, I’m very disappointed.

I didn't want the regular black transport wheelchair which you see everywhere because when people look at it they see disabled right away. Most people remark they have never seen a wheelchair in color before. I don't enjoy being reminded that I'm disabled, at least for now. I had a stroke and years later needed a hip replacement. So I purchased it well before hip surgery to just make life easier to get aro. It's lighter than a regular transport wheelchair and folds by pulling the handle on the center of the seat.. And the handles fold too. I can actually reach the brake while sitting in the chair to lock and unlock it, but I don't recommend that for the elderly who have balance issues. The foot rests fold to the side and there's a catch that holds them in place. The foot rests can be removed which helps getting into places. With the foot rest folded to the side it makes the wheelchair a little wide and I found it difficult to get through most door frames. It comes with a bag for putting your stuff in, which is convenient. I bought a seat pad which makes the chair more comfortable when sitting for long periods of time. The front wheels loosened/stripped and kept coming off. The metal shaft that the wheel went into frayed. Only had it for 10 months and only used around my home.
