Instructions are minimal (pictures only) for assembly but NO instructions (or pictures) on what to do with the long strap, leaving one to assume it goes around and under the mattress to hold the bar in place.     • Works for our adjustable hospital bed
I was having a hard time finding a rail that would work for an adjustable hospital bed. This one is working for us. I have to put the bed totally flat first and then insert the rail evenly on either side of where the bed bends by the knees. Once it's inserted in, it stays in well. It is functioning to help keep my dad safe from falling out the bed. Must return the bed to flat position to remove it. There is a little effort involved in inserting and removing the device. This product works well, but it only has one strap to put around the bed. We have found that with o my one strap the handle needs to be readjusted every once in a while. If it had more than one strap to stabilize it, I think would work even better. Overall it’s a good product, and it does work for it’s intended purpose. Boy, did I need this bed aid. I just had a belly operation and could not lift myself from my bed. This railing is not in the way for normal sleeping but is right there when I need to get up. It is plenty sturdy for a 222# body.
