Using this for the first time my hip pain was relieved significantly. I have an ongoing muscular injury that I usually have to take some pain meds to address when I sleep. When trying this for the first time I decided to put it to the test and not take any meds before bed. To my surprise my sleep, as measured by a sleep app on my phone, was about as good as taking pain meds. I like this outcome because I don't want to rely on pain meds ad infinitum. Only downside, if you can even call it a downside, is it's shape takes some getting used to if, like me, this is your first foray in to using these kinds of pillows. I was a little uncomfortable for a little while and it took about 30 minutes longer than usual to get to sleep. I'm sure as I get used to it this will no longer be an issue but it is a different feeling to get used to when sleeping so probably best to not use it for the first time if you have an early appointment then next day. Obviously I can't speak to everyone's experience but this was a big improvement for me, despite the initial difficulty getting used to it. ... show more

A friend had recommended a knee pillow months ago, and I finally purchased this. I'm so glad I did. I like the strap that keeps the pillow in place as I roll over repeatedly through the night. The pillow is just the right amount of soft and firm, and the material is soft, comfortable and breathable. Most importantly, I noticed an improvement in my hip pain within the first day or two. My wife has been telling me that my back would be less sore if I slept on my side with a pillow between my knees. I tried that but the pillow kept slipping. I ran into this item with the strap that holds the pillow in place. Super idea. The pillow itself is durable and hasn't gotten mushy yet. I didn't give it five stars because I think it is a tad too thick. The handle is nice but I move around too much for it to be effective with my arthritis.

I have another pillow like this without a strap, which would disappear in my bed almost instantly as I toss and turn. The strap kerleps the pillow on a leg.
