This cord is really thick and the connectors feel sturdy. I frequently plug and unplug this one because I use it for different laptops in the living room. I have another 100 foot cord that I ran through the attic that feels really cheap compared to this cord— every time I disconnect that one from a device I’m worried the plastic tab at the end is going to snap off. Cable worked well until everybody was forced to learn online. As soon as the cable arrived I used it and wow, what a difference hard-wiring makes in speeding up access to the Internet! However, as soon as our nation began staying at home to work and learn, I noticed this cable no longer helped. It’s not the fault of the company that makes the cable. Came exactly as expected. Just your standard blue ethernet cable. Nothing fancy or gimmicky. It's been reliable so far. I've got 1 Gbps fiber service and a gigabit switch but was only pulling down about 150 Mb/sec on my game console. Happened to notice it was connected to the switch with a Cat.5 cable, so I ordered this cable to replace it. Now I regularly see over 700 Mb/sec downloads on my console.     • Who would have thought?
I've been connecting wirelessly for so long, I didn't even know Cat 6 cables existed! There were two situations that promoted me to get this cable: first, I was buying my own modem and router and turning in the rental to the cable company. Second, I had just bought a new desktop PC that didn't have a wireless adapter. After reading up on how to get and transmit the best signal, all signs pointed to Cat 6. I was looking at a youtube video and the person recommended these cables for use with my new router. They work great. My internet speed is better than it has even been and my new router works great. No buffering. I would highly recommend them. And the price was fantastic!

I do like the length and use of the cable. I had a previous cable that would cause trouble disconnecting from my xbox anytime I would insert it which was troublesome. This one is great so far. In addition my connection issue went down a ton. It used to be a daily problem but more lately this cable plus a few different tips helped out. A cord like this at a shop like home depot or lowes would be $14 to $20 for 5ft ... show more
