i've had this on my list for a while. When I seen that it was available for review I promptly requested one. My hesitation was 1. how often do i tenderize meat, and 2)it looks like it would be a pain to clean after use. At this point I really can't say how often I will use the tenderizer, but it does it's job- And its not difficult to clean. The dishwasher did most of the work. When this tenderizer arrived, I only had chicken breast. I removed the tenderloin and then ran it thru the tenderizer two times. Pan seared the breast and sat down to find out how well it worked. It works really good, although it does somewhat mangle the meat. But i think that is the point. The breast looked beat up when i laid it the pan, but the magic of cooking seemed to tighten the meat, eliminating a lot of the mangled appearance. I don't know how quick I will be to use this for just myself, but I would take the time to tenderize before packaging for the freezer. Overall, this item worked really well, and i would make a point to use this with cheaper cuts of meat. Cleaning was easy, and it is well built. Thanks for reading and the opportunity to review this item. I don't have a lot of attachments for my Ktchen-aid mixer, but I'm happy to have this meat tenderizer. Thank you!

This KitchenAid attachment attaches to the end of your KitchenAid mixer. It is just a little attachment piece and it has a little spikes in it that you can run your meat down through the tenderizes the meat. This is way better than having to beat your meat. All you have to do is turn it on. You can run it at the speed you’re comfortable and it will put the holes in your meat and tenderize it.

This thing is an absolute beast! It demolishes anything you put between the blades and instantly and easily tenderizes your meat without having to bash it with a hammer. It was very easy to install on my kitchen aid and didn't take any finagaling to get it to work. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

There's no getting around the fact that meat has gotten very expensive but with this attachment you can tenderize tough cuts of meat (i.e. the cheap ones) and save yourself a fortune. It is wonderful to be able to use my Kitchenaid mixer for yet another function. This fits perfectly and it is simple to use.
