Was having heart palpitations at the same time I had costochondritis. These combined with a pulse oximeter reassured me that the pain wasn't related to rubbing in the pericardium and that the sensations in my chest were usually not my heart at all. So it helped me learn to feel for the costochodritis and recognize the shallowness of it and the response to pressure on the joints that goes with it. I LOVE this stethoscope. The sound is incredible and it’s so light weight! Granted I’m a newbie in the medical world; but I’ve gotta say, all the stethoscopes I’ve used in class have been awful, weighty, and difficult to auscultate with. I’m a musician too so I have really sensitive ears; but the sound in this is so clear!! It’s crazy how big of a difference this makes. Everyone’s eyes light up when they see it too. I absolutely love it! It is definitely a great quality stethoscope and i can hear pretty well with it. I would definitely recommend this stethoscope for someone who’s is trying to stay within budget for a low price. My package came very fast and everything was in good shape when opened. This stethoscope is legit. You can hear really good out of it. I have a Pediatric Littman stethoscope and needed another one for adults. Now the earpieces on it is slightly uncomfortable but I just took some off of an old scope and replaced them with more comfortable ones. Needed new Steth due to having my previous for years and the new clinic does manual BP, so using them was starting to hurt my poor ear bc of the hard/ plastic ear pieces. It was my starter, this can be used as a starter bc their are more high tech and qualities ones, bc this specific one is definitely an upgrade from my previous and soft ear tips were my main reason for the purchase, plus it It matches and compliments my Pulse Ox. so perfectly.
