Features like up to 40x amplification1 and active noise cancellation can help you auscultate with greater confidence. The 3M Littmann CORE Stethoscope connects with Eko software on a smart device2 to visualize, record and share data. (Smart device not included. Some features require a subscription.) Take listening to a whole new level The FDA-cleared 3M Littmann CORE Stethoscope toggles between analog and amplified listening modes so you can listen how you want to during assessments. Tunable diaphragm technology—a 3M invention—lets you hear different frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. Soft- sealing ear tips conform to individual ears for optimal comfort and excellent sound occlusion. The 3M Littmann CORE Stethoscope works with Eko software on iOS and Android devices, giving you a HIPAA compliant means to save and annotate 15, 30, 60 or 120-second recordings in a secure dashboard. Create a library of heart sounds to monitor the progressions of a disease or for education, and securely share recordings with colleagues. 140X amplification based on comparison of analog versus electronically assisted amplified listening with maximum volume at the peak frequency (125 Hz). Frequently asked questions

Yes, the 3M Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope is equipped with a tunable diaphragm that can be used for both adult and pediatric auscultation. However, for infants or very small children, a stethoscope with a smaller chestpiece might be more appropriate.

The Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope is powered by a rechargeable battery. It comes with a USB charging cable, and when fully charged, the device can operate for approximately 60 hours of active use.

The 3M Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope does not natively integrate with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, but the sound files can be saved and manually added to patient records if necessary.

The digital amplification feature on the Littmann CORE enhances sound quality and is adjustable to various levels, allowing clinicians to hear heart, lung, and other body sounds more clearly, which is particularly useful in noisy environments or for patients with thick clothing.

  • Worth the price!
Color: Black Tube, Black Stem Style: Black-Finish Chestpiece
I am honestly obsessed with this stethoscope. I have some reduced hearing right now due to fluid buildup (getting that taken care of soon, don’t worry), and I was a little nervous about how that would affect my assessments—but this completely changed the game for me. I can hear so clearly with this, it’s honestly kind of amazing. The amplification is a huge difference compared to a standard stethoscope. Heart and lung sounds are much easier to pick up, and the noise cancellation really helps cut out background noise, especially in busy clinical settings. It makes me feel way more confident in what I’m hearing instead of second-guessing everything. The digital features are also really cool. Being able to visualize sound waves in the app adds another layer of learning, which is super helpful as a student. It’s not just a tool, it actually helps you improve your assessment skills. The only downside is the price, it’s definitely an investment. But for me, especially with hearing challenges right now, it’s 100% worth it. ... show more

  • Exceptional Stethoscope: Raises the Bar with Outstanding Quality and Performance
Color: Black Tube, Black Stem Style: Black-Finish Chestpiece
This Stethoscope Raises the Bar! Although it’s a bit pricey, I can confidently say that it sets a new standard for what a stethoscope should be. From the moment I picked it up, I could tell it was built with high-quality materials and craftsmanship. All I can say is wow! The sound quality is exceptional, making it easy to hear even the faintest heartbeats and lung sounds, which is crucial in my line of work. What’s even more impressive is how many people I've let try it out who also respond with a resounding wow. Many of them end up ordering one for themselves if they can afford it. While it’s not the cheapest option on the market, I genuinely believe it is worth every penny. The performance and durability you get are unparalleled compared to other stethoscopes. I also highly recommend purchasing the hard case that’s specifically designed for this stethoscope. It’s essential for protecting your investment, especially if you accidentally drop it while transporting it. Overall, this stethoscope combines quality, performance, and a touch of luxury, making it an invaluable tool for any healthcare professional. I couldn't be happier with my purchase ... show more

  • This product works exceptionally well with bluetooth enabled hearing aides.
Color: Black Tube, Black Stem Style: Black-Finish Chestpiece
After spending a few hours on the internet I didn't think that I would be able to get a stethoscope that would connect wirelessly to my bluetooth enabled hearing aids. That however, is exactly what the Littmann Core Stethoscope does. In my medical experience (I am a doctor: MD) the Littman cardioscope has always been an excellent instrument. If you are not wearing hearing aids, this instrument amplifies the heart and lung sounds very effectively. That part is unchanged. However, and this is the big news, you can disconnect the headphones from the stethoscope, turn on the Eko app on your bluetooth enabled cell phone (I have an Iphone), select start and connect the CORE device, choose either full cardiac exam or spot check (I prefer the full cardiac exam) and not only do you get a tracing of the heart rhythm, but the heart tones are crystal clear and easily identifiable. I can easily identify my very soft murmur of mild aortic stenosis. One important caveat: be sure that your phone volume setting is about 3 quarters of full volume to full volume. This is the most effective way to get full amplification of the heart tones. I am auscultating heart tones more effectively now (with my hearing impairment) than I was able to do when I had no hearing loss! It's that good. One other point, because you're not tethered to a stethoscope, you can keep a safe distance from those possibly infected patients. I plan to carry the headpiece of the stethecope in my pocket and just use it as such, without the ear pieces. Someone had commented in one of the reviews that I read that said the sounds were "scratchy". I did not experience this problem to any significant degree. You always get a little "scratchiness" with any stethoscope, when you move to different positions on the chest wall. One request of the manufacturer: it would be great if you could manufacture a small cap to cover the opening of the head of the stethoscope (where it connects to the headset tubes) so it doesn't get clogged up in my coat pocket. For all of you hearing impaired medical practitioners, I hope this helps! ... show more

  • Excellent
Color: Black Tube, Black Stem Style: Black-Finish Chestpiece
I had wanted one of these stethoscopes for a long time. But I was very concerned that the money spent would not be worth it. I ultimately decided to splurge and go for it. I’m so glad I did! I have not yet used the app feature, but I am very pleased with the amplifier. I’m picking up things I never heard before. And I feel more confident in my diagnoses because I can be sure that I did or did not hear adventitious lung sounds or murmurs, etc.. I was a little concerned about the eight hour battery life at first. However, I don’t leave the stethoscope on throughout my entire shift. I turn it on when I listen and turn it back off when I’m done. So rather than having to charge my stethoscope every day, I’m charging my stethoscope maybe once a month or every six weeks. I like that it is rechargeable. I hate having to buy and replace batteries. I highly recommend the stethoscope. I won’t ever go back to a regular one. Whether you’re a nurse, advanced practitioner, physician, this stethoscope is excellent and I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Good quality stethoscope with connectivity issues and less impressive app!
Color: Black Tube, Black Stem Style: Black-Finish Chestpiece
I bought this after I lost my Littman cardiology IV. I was excited to get the Eko that I could sync to my app. The stethoscope itself is good which was not surprising, the amplification the Eko provides is good I can definitely hear things more clearly. My only complaint would having issues with the connection between my device and the app on my phone. I frequently have connection issues which is a functional issue making it harder to use and time too consuming to use. I would’ve given 5 stars if I didn’t have connection issues with the app! ... show more
