Upon opening the box I found that the seller had not shipped the ottoman pad and had instead shipped a second set of armrests. In addition, the hinges were misaligned which caused the chair to be nearly impossible to put together properly. Reached out to seller and attempted to send pictures in multiple formats however seller continued to say they hadn't received any pictures. Seller showed lack of support for my concerns...very nice chairs but came with stretches DENTS on wood and defective remote control. I reached out to Amazon who contacted the seller...Photos requested and sent with no support or offer of compensation....seller continued to ask for more information...now that want videos....so I decided to just return....but no option for UPS pickup...advised Amazon rep of the difficulty for me to return ..no truck..advised my only need was for a replacement remote and compensation for the damage and me having to purchase a things to cover the stratches after I filled the defects with wood filler....Amazon compensated me only a small amount but seller offered NOTHING.....WATCH OUT FOR THIS SELLER NOT COSUMER FRIENDLY...after spending over 1000.00 bought 4 chairs....at least be willing to compensate for defects in wood. ... show more

The easy assembly is questionable as I encountered a battery of issues when it came to putting it together. I reached out to the seller and they were really terrific, very responsive and took care of the problems right away. The chair cushions are a bit stiff but they will ease up with time.     • I Like This Chair - Very Comfortable

This is one slick good looking comfortable chair that ships in two boxes. You might think one box holds the chair and the other holds the ottoman; not so. The parts for each, chair and ottoman are distributed between both boxes. One note worth mentioning which others have talked about -- no assembly instructions are included. I went to the Mcombo website and while they have instructions for everything from chicken coops to tents they didn't have instructions for this particular recliner model (as of 12/2020 anyway). They had something kinda sorta close, and between that, pictures on the shipping box and my "vast mechanical experience", I had the entire thing unboxed (two boxes) and assembled in a little under an hour. The hardware includes two hex wrenches and a flat steel 13mm wrench along with bolts and nuts. If you have a 13mm socket, I suggest breaking it out and using that instead of the little flat 13mm wrench. There are only two places you need that 13mm and that is for the two nuts and bolts that secure the back cushion to the base. Those nuts and bolts are an integral part of the preassembled reclining mech. I also put a small dab of lubriplate on those two bolts. Those two bolts are the only items I lubed. I would not suggest putting any lube on the rotating base or in the roller housings. If you do, that base and integral rollers are apt to gather dust and grit (especially if the chair is on a carpet which mine is) over time and muck up the works; clean and dry should work the best for that swivel assembly. Also, make sure all the screws on the roller housing for the swivel base are nice and tight The chair swivel base, seat cushion and recliner mech lever assembly are preassembled. One tip; as you begin to assemble the chair tighten all existing screws. By that, I mean the screws that are already in place such as frame screws, swivel base screws, and any that you come across that you didn't install yourself; most of them needed to be tighter and it's a lot easier doing this as you assemble the chair as you will have it in different positions which makes for easy access. As far as comfort goes, WOW! ... very nice. The vibrating feature is great with many choices, five intensity levels, and nine vibration patterns that pulse in various sequences and durations, to select from. Three separate sections vibrate. You can also overide the pattern selections and have one, two or all three vibrators be continuous. The picture does not do the Brown color justice. It is a rich chocolate color. ... show more

    • Don't buy it if you are "old."

While the chair looks good, it is extremely difficult to get up from it. The front portion of the seat is about 17 inches off the floor; however, the back side of the seats drops to 12 inches! I am 64 years old, 6'4" tall and about 250 lbs. While the chair fits me well, don't buy it if you ever thinking about getting up from it. It is a shame, I really like the chair. What if you had to work from home but found your old creaky office chair uncomfortable and annoying. What if you said to yourself, "If I have to sit in a chair for work all day why not get a stylish comfortable massage chair with a foot stool" So I did and I have never looked back. I use the massage feature a couple of times a day to loosen up and having a stool for my feet makes me feel relaxed as I finish my work. I have to confess I feel a little guilty being this comfortable while I work. On second thought, no I don't! Assembly takes a little bit of doing but the materials are if good quality and everything looks and functions great. I am a large person at 6'6" and 300lbs and this chair works for me. ... show more

    • Great Chair - when you finally get all of the components

Customer service was highly responsive, Chair is great. To get things corrected I had to return one large piece that they had sent me two of (2 hour round trip heavy lifting), wait for the second piece to arrive, and then wait for a part associated with the second piece ( after a few emails and alot of wait time). Had to send several emails to customer service. To their credit they responded nicely to every one (I was also kind in my emails although I was frustrated). In the end it all came out ok.
