UPDATE: 08/01/2022 Everything that was negative in my first post was graciously and very professionally fixed by McCombo chairs. Without me needing to ask, they sent me a replacement chair and arranged for a UPS pick up of the first chair, in its damaged box. I naturally offerd to retape the damaged box, which they wrote me back thanking me, and saying that they were very grateful for my efforts .They apologized multiple times for the damage. Their polite, friendly communications surprised me! Not many companies go to this extreme to be helpful, grateful and just nice! BRAVO McCOMBO!!! The replacement chair was delivered perfectly by UPS. It appears to me as if the first FedEx delivery might have been the cause for the extreme damage. The continutation with a different delivery serice, UPS delivery, was flawless as always! LOVE UPS! All dealings with McCombo has been very helpful and professional. Communication was always prompt, professional, and quite friendly. It was a pleasure communicating with a real live person, who went above and beyond, to make a bad situtation PERFECT! Sadly, this is NOT the case! This McCombo lift chair is to be a Birthday gift for my husband (06/13). He has had a very rough time lately after breaking hip. I thought this lift chair would make his life a little easier, less painful, and his birthday a little happier after his rough year. However, the box that was delivered looks like it didn't only come from the GARBAGE DUMP, but the BOTTOM of the GARBAGE DUMP!! The box is a disgusting, ripped up, piece of falling apart garbage, with pieces sticking out of it! The second box, which seems to be the backrest looks nice, but the main box containing the motor etc is all ripped and torn with pieces sticking out of it. I haven't totally opened the box yet. I'm fearful that there might be major pieces missing or damaged. I'm also worried that some critter might jump out of the box. It looks ripped, but also possibly chewed in places, with larger irregular shaped holes in the box. I would assume after spending this MUCH MONEY on a chair, that it would be delivered in good shape. How am I going to put a bow on a piece of ripped up garbage to wish my poor husband a Happy Birthday? Glad I didn't order a second chair for myself, as I had originally planned. Amazon, and the seller should be ashamed of sending out garbage to their loyal customers!!!! SHAME..SHAME...SHAME on Amazon, the seller, and also FedEx who dumped this pile of junk in our driveway without so much as ringing our bell. Our dog barked , and came and got me after hearing the FedEx truck. By the way, it had just started to rain, so without our wonderful dog alerting me of the delivery truck leaving, this mess would have been much worse, plus drenched! Glad it wasn't garbage day, or surely this pile of junk would have been mistaken for trash and hauled away to the dump, which is where it looks like it came from! I'm a reasonable person, and realize that at times a little damage is occasionally to be expected during delivery , but this is outrageous! My old recliner pretty much died so I ordered this chair which, as it turned out, arrived just in time. For a while my right knee had been giving me grief. By the time the chair arrived it was really painful. In order to rise from a sitting position I had to think about it a bit and then use both hands to push myself up. Once we got this chair assembled (I am a 79 year old female) and did it almost all by myself after my husband got the pieces into the family room. He also helped me to move it into position. The video is super helpful when you get stuck on anything though we used the paper instructions when it came to hooking up the electronics. Anyway, almost right after I got the chair I was in a position where I needed to use the function that has me almost standing so that I could get up out of the chair with ease. It made life much easier until I finally got to the doctor and had the fluid in my knee drained after which I have not needed that function any more. However, at 79, I figure I will find it convenient as time goes by. At 82, my husband may also find it helpful as he ages though then I may have to buy a second chair as I will not want to give up mine. I am not adding a picture as it looks exactly as it is pictured on the website. ... show more

The chair was shipped as described, within a couple days and in two boxes. It was easy to put together. Material and durability seems good. Like other reviews the chair is smaller than we imagined, but it's not a problem since our mom is small. (Mom is 5' 4" and 165 lbs.) Mom loves the chair and says it's very comfortable and she loves the lift feature which helps tremendously with her getting in/out of the chair with her bad knees. It's a great buy for the price but would not recommend this chair for a larger or tall person. In fact, my dad is only 5' 8" and is too tall for the chair, so we'll be buying a different, larger chair for him. ... show more

I was afraid after reading so many reviews from petite people that my 5'8" large frame would be too big but it is perfect. I needed support for my lower back as I have issues with sciatica. This is already helping ease the pain. The power button was not needed but is wonderful. Was easy to put together in 15 min with no tools. Will be easy to transport to my new home soon too! this was a nice chair, I thought it was very comfortable, just did not fit the person who had to live in it. said it was wide and really wasn't called them and let me tell you this was the smoothest return I have ever done, Rick was outstanding at helping me, I said it not a wide chair, his answer I am so sorry it did not meet what you thought, what would you like, I need to return it, he said box it up an I'll have fed ex pick it up, never questions me just helped me solve it, wish all customer service people where like him thank you for the help, ... show more

I ordered this for my elderly grandma. The price was good and assembly easy. I had a little trouble with delivery, it had nothing to do with the seller, in fact they contacted me several times to ensure I reached out to FedEx to make arrangements when they noticed an issue with the delivery address.
