I bought the medium regular size recliner in burgundy on Wed and first used it on Friday afternoon. I am so pleased with this recliner that it's hard not to gush about it. The burgundy color is rich, not pinkish as some pictures show. The fabric is velvety and soft, like a short nap minky blanket. The lumbar pillow is a deep blue with a beige and tan oriental pattern that matches perfectly with the rest of the room, although the texture of the pillow cover is a bit like canvas. The two-day delivery was great. It arrived in two boxes as described which were a bit heavy for older retirees to lift, but a neighbor with a hand dolly helped us bring it in and set it up. Assembly was fast and easy even though we started off on the wrong foot. Directions? Who dat? We put the back on before the arms and then found that the arms do not attach completely with the back in place. The slides that attach the back have an automatic lock that cannot be undone once in place and the placement of the back means the arms will not fully engage once the back is in place. Before reaching for the pliers, we connected the power cord and reclined the back slightly more than halfway and were able to push the arms down completely. This worked but it would have been much easier to put the arms on first as intended. We raised the chair into the full lift position, connected the rest of the cords and then plugged it into the battery backup (our power is sometimes sketchy). The motor is super quiet, and the motion is smooth and easy but that may change with use. The separate back and foot recline functions worried me at first, but with just a few hours use I find I like it better than the combined functions on our other chairs. At 5' 1" I don't need the extended footrest, but my mother (6') says that it is much more comfortable to not dangle her feet. Enough said. I am VERY pleased with my purchase but it's still all new and shiny right now. I will update later if I run into problems.

PROBLEM: no instructions included with shipment. However, was able to find complete instructions and diagrams online at their site. This is important because there are some spare parts included that if you don't know could spend forever trying to figure out where it belongs. NOTE: This chair arrives in 2 boxes and are very HEAVY which is fun for an elderly person. Understandable since there is a lot of functionating equipment and hardware inside. It's not exactly for the faint hearted, we are very DIY people here and this wasn't stupid-easy to put together but not all that difficult either. NOW ON TO THE GOOD STUFF: This chair is awesome. We didn't opt into the one with massage and heat as I don't like that extra stuff. We love all the various p[positions this chair allows for. Extremely well-made and material is soft and comfortable. I'm a small to medium sized person so we go the one for me. The color we got which was the brown, is great. We both love it and it solved the problem for me, handicapped, to be able to easily stand and walk away from the chair. The remote remains in place and handy all the time. I can easily position the chair for optimum comfort and enjoyment. We highly recommend this chair. We are going to be purchasing a second one for my spouse, who is larger and they have the same chair in various sizes. Worth the money, although pricey, still worth every penny.

I previously had a MCombo lift chair with heat and massage. The padding was so thin you could feel all the internal parts through the thin padding. Very uncomfortable especially in the leg rest. I bought a replacement MCombo lift chair, 11 months ago, without heat and massage hoping to cure the problem. But the padding is still very thin. It's actually painful to sit in it. In addition, the back reclines so far back that it is impossible to sit up fairly straight with the leg rest up. The back keeps reclining as the leg rest is raised. Finally, the AC/DC converter came loose and got crushed by the lift mechanism. Fortunately, I didn't get electrocuted in the process. This also caused one of the motors to stop working. I've tried finding a replacement motor with no luck. Nobody ever answers the support line at MCombo and they don't seem to return calls either. Don't buy from this company!

We needed a power lift chair for my husband’s abdominal surgery. This worked perfectly to help him get up. Easy to put together. Luckily the Fed Ex delivery man carried the two boxes into the front door for us as they were heavy. But once we got the boxes open, it was easy enough to put the back onto the chair. I was looking for a medium size chair and this is perfect. We already have two rocker recliners that are huge and we did not want another big bulky chair. The chair is very comfortable. You can adjust the back separately from the seat part. The only thing we do not like, is that the remote control stays lit up all the time. I just had sinus surgery snd have slept in this chair two nights. My husband will be having another abdominal surgery and the chair will come in handy again. He loves it.

We were very happy with the chair. It appeared to be of good quality and functioned well until day 28 when the control went dark and failed to function. I called customer service and they gave me an email address for tech service. I gave them the date of sale, order number, description of the issue along with photos I am now waiting for a response. Even the best products malfunctioned at times. The test is how well the company responds. They were courteous on the phone so I am expecting a good outcome. I will revisit this review when it gets resolved and let you know. Update; They responded quickly, diagnosed the problem and sent a replacement part within a week. I plugged in the part and the chair was working again. Happy Customer
