The chain that comes with it was perfect for me to hang them off the ground I’m going to be purchasing a second set of these when the smaller ones get into the outside pen. This is the best waterer and chicken feeder I've bought yet... and I bought 3 other products that didn't work ideally, but this design and quality works PERFECTLY!! It keeps them from roosting on top, slick enough to keep ants away, perfect for going flush against a wall or hanging, and the water spouts are ideally placed. I love this product!! ... show more

These arrived quickly and were very affordable. The feeder bucket was easy to put together and worked great right away. The water bucket was a different story. It leaked badly and made a muddy mess in my chicken run. After some trial and error, I added an O-ring and some plumber’s tape to stop the leaks. Once I made those modifications, it worked extremely well. Now my run stays much cleaner and drier, and with four hens, we can go several days without having to refill it. These feed/water set is very good and a great price. I have geese and ducks and they do great with them. I like that there are multiple options for hanging them and all parts come with the feeders. Also, they are easy to clean and fill up.

Nope!!! Say good-bye to almost $40. I was excited to try these watered/feeders but they just don’t do the job! Waterer : *How exactly does the waterer keep ice from forming?? It’s just constructed with thin plastic….no insulation. So how does that anti- freeze work?? It doesn’t. *Then there’s the flimsy cup holders…. One broke off and all four (yes there’s only four with one side completely empty. So if you hang it…. You’re wasting a side. Not great if your flock is large. And the cups fill up with dirt and chicken backwash….which means constant cleaning!!! * I sure wouldn’t trust this if I was leaving town for even one day. Nope!! Feeder: * same as water…. If you suspend the feeder you waste an entire side for feeding. What a waste of space!! *my chickens peck… and they throw pellets out of the feeder. Then they “might” feed and peck the food on the ground. There’s no spill proof feeder. * ….. and be careful if you mount the waterer or feeder to a fence or wall. Depending on the wall or fence or how you hang it mice can and will get into feeder. Yes!! I watched them and had to suspend them with the too short chain (bought more) And had to rig up a way to suspend them. A royal pain!! Additionally: the hardware is cheap and just the entire product is shoddy, cheap and not worth the money and frustration. Follow your intuition and don’t buy this item. Keep looking. Spend a little more on something proven. This isn’t it, tho’! ... show more

    • Okay for a small flock but there are flaws

Update: while getting the hens up for the evening I could hear water poring out. Went to the water bucket and one of the orange cups was leaking. Since it's just plastic it had to get broken by one of the chickens. I already do not use the feeder and now I'm not using the water bucket. I'll not buy again. 2.24.26 These are my back up feeder & watering system. They come with all the hardware so you can use that it's best suited for your chickens, which is wonderful. I quickly stopped using the feeder since it only has 3 openings & I have 4 chickens so 1 is left out when they like to eat together. Also it's not ideal to hang (for my preference or run design). On both when you lift the handle it touches the lid making it come up. Handles should be further out. As for the water dispenser it holds a lot of water which is good. Once the water gets lower than the cups it stops delivering water which makes sense but with other gravity water systems it will need to get to the bottom before there's no water. So far these water/feeders have been amazing! We have been using the basic ones you get at the store, that twist on and off! So we got these to try something different! They are sturdy! Easy to put together and hold a perfect amount of food and water! We have 13 chickens and the food is more than plenty! The waterer is super easy to put together and the chickens took right too it. It doesn’t leak anywhere! And taking it apart to deep clean is a breeze! Definitely worth the money, which I also feel isn’t very expensive considering others I’ve seen!
