  • Works with original SNES controllers on SNES Classic console (official)
I had previously purchased two of the Hyperkin SNES controller adapters for my friend's SNES Classic (which was fairly new, using the original power supply, but had somehow faulty controllers... flipper buttons not registering, forced into a banked turn in Starfox, etc). The Hyperkins were new in box but only worked intermittently (mainly the "up" and "down" didn't register on the user original usa Super Nintendo control pads I tried, I had somewhat better luck with the Super Famicom controller but only on one side). Mayflash, on the other hand, didn't let me down. Despite the product only saying it is compatible with the "NES Classic" console (and Wii/Wii U, which I have not tested, nor have I tested the "turbo" button toggler on each one), it worked perfectly on the first try. I fired up Street Fighter II Turbo, and it worked flawlessly, both players in a "vs" mode battle, every button worked with the response time you'd expect from the real hardware & software. I even used them each with the SNES Classic "extension cord" and there were no problems. If only I had gone with these at the outset, I could have saved some time and frustration... forget Hyperkin's version and get this, if you want to use your original SNES (or Super Famicom) controllers on the SNES Classic. I see these came packed with a separate adapter (the main adapter uses the same clip type plug that the Wii, Wii U, SNES Classic and NES Classic have for controllers) that has a male end that is Sega Genesis style (someone in the "questions answered" section above says that won't actually work) while the female end is NES style to use NES controllers. Mayflash makes quality adapters, I have yet to be disappointed in one of their products. ... show more

  • 3rd Party Controllers and NES Four Score
I've used it on the NES & SNES Classic mini's and works great. The "turbo" leaves a lot to be desired. The SNES Ascii Pad, the Interact SN Pro and the Triax Turbo Touch 360 all work with this (which have better rapid fire). The NES Four score does kind of work, though you are only able to connect the MayFlash to one the two NES plugs on the Four score so not very use full. Maybe if you get a second May Flash ? ... show more

  • Unfortunate Build Quality
Well, this device works as intended. It worked for me for about 3 weeks than gave out. Legitimately. Indeed, it plugs and plays. Quite easy to setup and compatible with any Wii-mote. If you need a quick solution, I suppose this is it. I would recommend everyone who views this to continue looking at all of your options, and include small businesses that also manufacture similar products. The build quality was low for me, so it may be the same for you. ... show more

  • Input lag makes it worthless
Bought this to play NES emulator games on my Wii but the input lag was so bad that I am returning it. 1 out of 10, would NOT recommend.

  • Better than Hyperkin
I had bought this to test out the NES zapper on patched versions of Duck Hunt etc. on a NES/SNES classic/ RetroArch. The main issue here is that i have not found an emulator that supports the zapper properly (yet) I remain hopeful that some day this will be factored in now that these patched versions of the game work on non CRTs. As for NES/SNES controllers, works as expected! The only reason i don't give this 5/5 is design. the design. it would have been nice if the extra wire for NES controllers wasn't needed and if the box was some how smaller. I also bought this to replace a Hyperkin Classic to NES adapter as it didn't work for me. i trust mayflash as I've had their other products work with no issues in the past ... show more

  • Good for all of your classic mini retro needs
This was purchased for the expressed purpose of using retro, or at the very least legacy engineered and designed, peripherals and accessories for the Nintendo mini classic consoles. While I have yet to test out the functions of the turbo button, I can safely say that it works for both NES and SNES third party accessories of the controller variety. As for thr controversial cable length of said consoles, it really depends on the controller themselves and if it is worth the investment compared to the standard wii remote extension cables. But for my needs beyond what initially came with the mini consoles, they more than suit that niche. ... show more

  • Update to a great adapter!
We purchased the earlier edition--this one's identical except for the text on the box noting that it's also compatible with the NES Classic. It's a great adapter, and highly recommended if you make frequent use of the virtual console and like to use the original NES/SNES controllers. The added bonus to these adapters is that, by shaving off some of the plastic on the NES adapter plug (included--it looks like an NES-to-Sega Genesis Plug), you can then use your NES controller & zapper on Nintendo clone consoles, like the Retro-bit Gen-X, or Yobo GN Twin! ... show more

  • Input lag
Works alright but as others have said, has noticeable input lag, you may not notice it if you aren't sensitive to it but it is extremely jarring if you are.
