I was actually really impressed opening this thing up. It was VERY well compacted into its little box, and I didn't have to fight with the box to stay open. The thicket straps around the plastic holding this were actually the first straps like it that DIDN'T break when I used them to haul the item around, so I was also impressed by that. It comes in 2 layers of plastic, so 2 degrees of vacuum sealing. It unrolled very easily, and started to expand to full size almost immediately upon being laid out. The furry texture is fun, but I did end up putting a blanket over it because it would irritate my skin while I sleep, but if you're using this for a futon couch in a living room or something it'll be fine. I could move it by myself as a not-very-strong small adult, but if I'd had help I definitely would have appreciated it. All in all, definitely already do not regret getting this, it's very comfortable and will certainly improve my night's sleep. ... show more

It took about an hour after removing all the packaging for it to be pliable enough to be plumped up. Replacing sofa bed mattress with this futon and so far it works great. It is a little bit bigger than a full size mattress, but smaller than a queen size. Overall I'd buy this again.

This is a comfortable mattress, but I would probably not use it for long term sleeping. For a guest bed definitely. It is soft and allows for a good sleep, but I can see over time the quality degrading a bit. Overall a good product.

This is a legit thick and heavy futon mattress! It is so thick and sturdy you can’t feel any of the bars through it on the frame! I have slept on many futons in college, and they were all uncomfortable. This mattress is like the luxury version of a futon, even as a Middle Aged adult now I would be happy to sleep on this mattress! ... show more

I can’t get the foam to be distributed evenly and it’s super lumpy. I would return it but it’s too large to deal with so I’m giving it to a friend to use as an XL dog bed. It’s awful for humans.

    • There is one side that remained flattened after allowing to be put in place on the futon.
