I was feeling skeptical at first about the fit and comfort but after assembling the futon and letting the mattress inflate, this far exceeds what I initially thought. The mattress was very very soft and comfortable. It fit the futon perfectly.

This is terribly uncomfortable. The mattress is hard and lumpy. It’s very hard to get comfortable the mattress also wears very easily and quickly would not buy again. Attempted to return however they wanted it in the same box it was sent in, which was a vacuum sealed bag, so there was no way to send it back in that packaging. Contacted the Amazon customer services and they said that UPS would take it back as a bad however UPS would not take it back as it wasn’t packaged so I was stuck with the bed.

For the price, I wouldn't buy it. The mattress is comfortable but it doesn't sit as a futon. It slides down and has awkward lumps based on where you do and do not sit. The buttons fall off and there's no real way to clean the mattress as the skin doesn't come off.

Got this for guests coming to visit for 3 weeks as an extra bed. The first night she said it is very uncomfortable, so we added a foam top and that did not help and finally an air mattress that made it acceptable for 3 weeks stay. Today after my company left, I finally sat on the futon as a couch and could not believe how lumpy and hard it was. I am completely embarrassed to have had guest from Japan sleeping on that lumpy bed for 3 weeks. And of course it is pass the time to return. But wanted to let you know why the poor rating is.
