Easy installation, works as expected, don’t know why I waited so long to replace. I do appreciate the straight cord vs. a spiral- it doesn’t get hung up or try to pull the remote & wiring away from the remote unit (my previous remote failed after the coiled cord kept tugging the wiring & eventually ripped away the soldered connection within the remote). Due to this previous issue, I opened this new remote up to see how the cord conmects & what type of electronics protections are within. I’m happy to say this remote has a 1-piece cord protector installed that does not wiggle & protects the internal electronics connections. This design WILL NOT come loose - it is STURDY! I do have petite hands & find this remote size comfortable to hold, even though it’s not ergonomically contoured. This remote is definitely better engineered than the manufacturer’s remote that came on the chair. The only downside is I wish it had about 4” of chord, but it functions well & I’m able to keep it handy just on the inside of the arm, next to me vs. at the bottom of the pocket I cannot reach. At this price, I am very happy with the bargain & saved me $$$ from having to replace my entire chair. It reacts easily & my chair is comfortable again. ... show more

This was so easy plug into my recliner. I’ve been using it consistently for months now and have had no problems with it at all. You may need to put something on your chair or side table so you can use the handy hanger on the back. Hanging it keeps it handy.

Bought a Best Chairs recliner lift chair in 2013 for mom, I have it now. The wire on the remote cord broke so needed replacement. Couldn't afford over $20 for a new one, I'm between checks but needed my recliner for my swelling of my feet and legs. This, inexpensive universal replacement works perfectly, was much cheaper, is a larger remote with 2 non lit buttons. Right angle 90 degree plug. It has a hook that I'm trying to figure out the best way to use. Right now I'm using velcro dots to attack to the chair. I may attach a ring to use for that hook. I bought this item to replace a worn out controller that I had repaired a few times, because the cord kept getting snagged and pulled on, and I finally talked the lady into getting a new one. After it came in, I let the lady know, and I went to her place to install it. It plugged right in, no adjustments or altering at all.
