I bought this trifold mattress in the queen size primarily to use as a guest bed, and after having multiple visitors sleep on it, I’m very happy with how it has worked out. In fact, the feedback from my guests has been consistently positive. The biggest advantage for me is that it completely avoids the experience of sleeping on an air mattress. While a floor mattress can seem a little unusual to some guests at first, once they actually sleep on this one, the comfort seems to win them over. I’ve had more than one guest tell me they actually preferred this to their own traditional mattress, which was honestly more positive feedback than I expected. The 6-inch thickness and high-density foam provide considerably more support than I anticipated from a foldable mattress. It has enough firmness to provide good support while still being comfortable for sleeping. I haven’t personally used it as a permanent everyday mattress, but for guests staying overnight or for several nights, it has performed very well. The trifold design is also extremely convenient. It can be unfolded into a full sleeping surface when needed, then folded back up when the room needs to be used for something else. During the day, it can also function as a sort of couch/lounge setup rather than having a mattress permanently taking up floor space. That’s particularly useful if, like me, you’re using it primarily for guests. One thing I was pleasantly surprised by was how easily I could use standard queen-size bedding with it. I use regular queen-size sheets and a queen-size comforter. The fitted sheet is a little looser than it would be on a conventional mattress because of the nature of the folding mattress, but it works perfectly well and hasn’t been an issue for my guests. The chenille fabric also gives it a much nicer appearance and feel than a basic foam floor mattress. The tufted design adds some visual interest, so when it’s folded up, it doesn’t look quite as utilitarian as some alternatives. One thing to keep in mind is that “foldable” doesn’t necessarily mean small. Even when folded into its three sections, the queen-size mattress is still fairly large and takes up a significant amount of storage space. It is certainly much easier to store than a full-size unfolded mattress, but you’ll want to have somewhere appropriate to put it when it’s not being used. I would consider this more of a space-saving design than a truly compact one. A note about unpacking: I definitely recommend following the manufacturer’s instructions and allowing the mattress time to expand and air out before using it. The instructions recommend approximately 48 hours. I was working with a shorter timeline and only had about 24 hours to let mine air out, and I didn’t have any problems, but if you have the time, I’d still give it the full 48 hours. For the price, I also think this represents a good value. Considering the comfort my guests have experienced, the versatility of being able to use it as both a sleeping surface and a lounge/couch, and the convenience of being able to fold it away when it’s not needed, I feel like I’m getting a lot of functionality from it without having to dedicate a room to a permanent guest bed. Overall, this has worked extremely well for what I bought it for. It’s comfortable enough that my guests have repeatedly complimented it, folds away when I don’t need a guest bed, and can also be used as a lounging/couch surface. Just keep in mind that a queen-size foam mattress is still a fairly substantial item even when folded. For anyone who needs an occasional guest bed but doesn’t want to deal with an air mattress, this has been a very practical and good-value solution. ... show more

Great product! Just be sure once you open the vacuum seal you give it plenty of time to fluff up/expand. At first, sitting on it-it was too soft and squishy, but the following day it firmed up. It is heavier than I thought it would be which is fine-just be aware. My local post office refused to deliver due to oversize. I was told they are not obligated to deliver anything larger than my mailbox. I reached out to Amazon support and they were wonderful about it. I did not notice any odd odor, material seems durable, and it is firm/supportive once you give it time to fully expand. Great option when a spare room isn’t available for guests or could be used in a dorm room. ... show more

I purchased another tri-fold mattress on Amazon and I sank down to the floor when I sat on it. So I was apprehensive about trying another one. With relief, this seems almost perfect. It inflated immediately upon opening the vacuum sealed package. The color is beautiful. The mattress is firm and I don’t sink to the floor. I slept on it last night and was comfortable (a twin sized fitted sheet fits perfectly) and I’ve been sitting on this today. I’m low to the ground but not too low; I can sit cross-legged on it unlike a regular chair; I can pull it out as a lounge chair; and I can have another sleeping arrangement in my tiny studio for a guest. It isn’t free-standing because it folds, so the back requires being against a firm surface like a wall. I’ll cross my fingers for durability and longevity and will update my review if anything changes. ... show more

I’m going to get this folding sofa bed a five star review. It immediately unfolded and is measuring exactly 6 inches thick . It’s very comfortable, not too firm and not too soft. I purchased this as an extra bed for my grandchildren when they come to visit I put it in their playroom and they use it as an extra sofa because it folds up nicely. The durability I’m going to say is excellent and the quality is great. I did purchase an extra topper and mattress pad, but I really don’t need that because the children say it’s quite comfortable. I also purchased a foldable base so that it doesn’t have to lay directly on the floor, which the kids really appreciate. I had previously purchased a blowup mattress, so for the money this is a much better deal and I don’t have to worry about it deflating in the middle of the night. ... show more
